Positive: Clean, nice and functional apartment with 3 bedrooms (2 Japanese style and 1 Western ones). Kitchen is well equipped. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location very close to temple district, bamboo forest and a Train station is convenient.

Positive: Thank you for the welcoming and comfortable stay! The place had everything I needed and was looking for. The amenities were spot on and I especially love how quickly my clothes dried in the dryer room (also doubles as the shower). This place by far had my most favorite and most comfortable bed for rest and sleep in all of my Japan stays to date. I highly recommend this accomodation for anyone looking to spend a holiday in Arashiyama. You feel right at home when staying here. I enjoyed how close this location was to the Arashiyama train station, convenience stores, and picturesque prime locations in town. You can walk to so many different spots in Arashiyama very easily. One big plus is that it is VERY quiet in the surrounding areas that footsteps are louder than you think when you hear people outside walking on the street. Waking up from a nap and the morning from this spot gave some nice views of the mountain when there was no rain.

The bedrooms were spacious and roomy. The host provided a run down of all the amenities, even including water and snacks, very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Positive: The accommodation was very close to the train station and travel attractions. The host was absolutely kind and helpful. It was tidy and big enough for the four of us. We had to ask for a late check out due to our flight, and she kindly understood and accepted our needs. It made our trip far easier. Thank you for all the goodies left for us in the fridge. We highly recommend the play to anyone.

Positive: This was the best place that we have stayed among all of our trips to Japan. At first our purpose is to stay leisurely 10 days to enjoy Sakura viewing, and it was the best decision we've ever made to choose Ranten. We loved its location that is very near the train station as the walking distance. So not only Arashiyama, but we could go to sightseeing anywhere easily. However, we took almost all of our time here for walking, cycling and picnic nearby. More than the location, the house was very cozy, clean, roomy and have many facilities that make you feel at home. The landlady was very kind and ready to answer your question. She prepared coffee, instant noodles, seasonings and snacks in the big refrigerator that was very helpful to us. There was a white cleaning robot that we were acquainted for 10 days, thank you, Shirayuki-hime! If we have a trip to Arashiyama in the future, I will come back to stay here surely!

Positive: The house is located in a beautiful area among green hills. It is very quiet and nice. Everything in the house is thought out to the smallest detail. Very clean and comfortable. 24-hour store in 5 minutes. The hostess is very nice and hospitable. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to live like a real Japanese.
