Negative: Didn’t like the bathroom downstairs and also the lack of lighting downstairs. It was a little rough around the edges.

Positive: We enjoyed our stay at this cottage and especially appreciated its location. It is in a lovely residential area, with a short walk down to the Westport River, easy access to the Horseneck Beach area, and lots of other beautiful places to explore by bike. The weather discouraged us from using the kayaks provided, but that would certainly be on our list of things to do should we return during the summer months. In general, the cottage itself is fairly comfortable (with one significant exception) and the kitchen facilities are adequate for doing some light cooking. The host was friendly, responsive to our questions, and accommodating. Oh, and we enjoyed looking at (but not touching or feeding!) the horses in the paddocks next door.
Negative: A major drawback for us was the lack of a bathroom (particularly, a toilet) on the second floor where the bedroom is located. For some, this may not be an issue, but most likely we would not have rented this property if that had been called out in the description of the property.

Negative: Building was dated not in great shape. Back porch was falling apart. Ants in kitchen. No local TV access. Did not have 2 decent coffee cups. Spider webs in bathroom.
Summary: It was ok- for the cost I could have gotten a nicer hotel room.
