The property is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of St Fillans, set back from the shores of Loch Earn, and in the midst of the beautiful Perthshire countryside. This is a superb area for mountain biking, fishing, walking, climbing and watersports available on Loch Earn, and there is also a shared tennis court in the grounds. Easy access to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, with Perth only a 40-minute drive, which offers an excellent range of restaurants, shops, bars and a theatre. Shop 30 yards. pub ½ mile.. Summary: Accommodation was 5 star. Enjoyed having the log burner ,cottage well equipped with lovely garden and porch. Setting very relaxing and there is a gate behind the property that leads to many interesting walks for our dog. Although St Fillans hasn’t got many facilities there are a couple of hotels at the lochside within walking distance and Cormrie and Crieff are nearby . Summary: We spent a delightful week in this lovely house. It is set in beautiful surroundings blissfully quiet a great place to getaway from it all. Due to present circumstances there was obviously less places to visit therefore a great excuse to return in the future if one was needed. Our weather was wonderful quite a surprise given the time of the year therefore we had plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding area on foot. There are lots of walks for all abilities around the lochs and glens. For the more adventurous the mountains await. There are a couple of hotels within walking distance and Comrie is a few miles away with shops for basic needs. I would definitely recommend Jackdaws we have stayed in quite a few houses in Scotland over the years and this is certainly one of the best. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: This is a lovely place to stay, in a beautiful setting, quiet and very scenic. The cottage seating is a bit low and uncomfortable and the oven is a bit high. There is also limited pans and cookware. Other than that, a brilliant place. There are loads of birds in the garden and a red squirrel, so we put out food for them and enjoyed watching them every day. I would certainly like to stay there again. It is also very dog friendly. Summary: Our holiday was amazing. Everything we wished. Quiet and beautiful views. Very dog friendly which we were very happy with. Gate at the back of the house over the hills, no need to drive. We would deffenetly be returning.

Summary: We had a wonderful time in this beautiful part of Scotland where walking trails were on our doorstep. The cottage was spacious and light. It had all the basic equipment one needs for a perfect holiday. The woodburner was a nice bonus.

Summary: The open plan living area of Jackdaws is airy and comfortable, and if you get the weather, which we did, the enclosed garden is a super space which we and the dog enjoyed. There is basic kitchen equipment which was fine although it would benefit from the addition of things such as a chopping board (small bread board only) and a large kitchen knife (small paring knives only) to make life easier. Shower room is great, but it is very much a "wet room" so be prepared to mop up! One thing to note is that the cottage does have wifi (one site that Jackdaws appears on says it doesn't have wifi). The location of the cottage is lovely - set back and private enough but within five minutes' walk from the loch side. St Fillans doesn't have much of its own amenities but it does have the loch and incredible views. Crieff, Comrie and Killin are all very close driving distance with more available if you need it. In particular it's a great location for walking or for getting away from it all. We loved our week at Jackdaws and are already planning to return.
