3 Bedroom House in St Fillans

A traditional cottage at the head of Loch Earn in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Recently refurbished to a high standard with quality fittings throughout. Enjoy relaxing in the cosy living room by the fire (with TV and PS4), or head out to the sauna in the private garden to relish the spectacular panoramic views the property has to offer. The garden also merits a fantastic kids area, pergola area and log cabin for relaxing in.
WiFi throughout.
Ground floor:
The cottage has an indoor porch for storing shoes etc. There is a large fully equipped dining kitchen complete with traditional stove cooker and large wooden dining table that comfortably seats six. A separate lounge area is accessed off the dining kitchen and has sofas, TV, DVD and PS4 for the enjoyment of our guests. Additionally there is a log burning fire in the lounge and this is supplemented with gas fired central heating throughout the cottage. Lastly downstairs there is a standard sized bedroom complete with bunk beds that comfortably sleeps two.
Kindly note, there is no downstairs toilet or showering facilities and these are located upstairs.
Upstairs:
Bedroom 1 has a large kingsize bed complete with wall mounted television.
Bedroom 2 features twin single beds and also has a television.
The modern bathroom has been recently renovated and has a quality shower quadrant complete with electric shower.
Outside:
The gardens have recently been comprehensively landscaped to include a lawn to the front. Secluded at the rear is a large decking area inclusive of dining area, seating and a fabulous outdoor barrel sauna that can accommodate four people. Towards the back of the property is a fully equipped log cabin with seating and feature lighting. This overlooks the children's play area that includes a playhouse, slide and small AstroTurf play area. Lastly the rear garden has a pergola area complete with bench.

Guests have full access to the cottage, sauna, log cabin and children's play area. Additionally also have free access to wifi to ensure they can stay connected.

Summary: Great time spent with family for 4 nights over New Year. Nice and cosy lounge with the wood burner. Great kitchen and dining area. Nice to sit in the barrel sauna with snow outside. Would definitely book again.

Summary: Stayed here with my husband and 16yr old daughter. First time staying in St Filans and it was a delight, neighbours friendly village shop does great morning rolls and soup. Great area for bikes and walking come out house turn right then follow the path along railway line goes For miles. House itself was beautiful, fresh, clean with great facilities. Kitchen has everything and more myself and daughter baked homemade cookies using all equipment supplied in kitchen. Another great extra was the Bluetooth speaker in living room and linked speakers in bedroom and living room sound bar. House was quiet , garden is huge and would be great to use in the summer. Bedrooms good size, cosy and welcoming. Excellent overall stay x

Summary: Our family (2 parents, 2 teens) spent 6 days at Kathleen & George's cottage in St. Fillans. We found the property exactly as depicted. It was comfortable and clean and well-appointed. The location is gorgeous, with mountains all around, Loch Earn a few steps away, a village store and restaurant within walking distance, and easy access to many outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, swimming, paddleboarding, golf, fishing, and more. We did have a few hiccups along the way (scant paper supplies for our party size and length of stay, a temporary wi-fi breakdown, and hot water service to the sinks), but Kathleen acted quickly to address all of them, and we were happy with the solutions. Communication in general was prompt and friendly.

Summary: We had an amazing 4 days at this property. It is just beautiful and the location close to the loch is perfect. The garden is just stunning and the sun house has lovely views. Would definitely recommend and great for kids with a lovely park just up the road.
