This fabulous, single-storey property is set in heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park and is an ideal property and location for those wanting to explore the rolling hills whether it be by foot or bicycle. Some lovely views can be enjoyed from the property and you can explore the owner’s large garden and watch the sunset in the evening on the patio area. This great property, which is a wing of the owners’ home, has wheelchair access and is situated 6 miles from the historic town of Brecon, with its mass of history including the Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh, Brecon Cathedral and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal - great for a meander in the sunshine. Wernyfed is 2 miles from Sennybridge, where there are plenty of public houses serving food, cafés and a shop/P.O. For the more adventurous, there is a launch area for your canoes or kayaks just yards from the property, take a paddle from Trallong into Brecon and beyond to Glasbury. Whatever you decide to do this is a perfect base for a perfect holiday. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Summary: This is now our favorite cottage for holidays, the Hosts Alan & Joan are very friendly & helpful & the rural setting is wonderful & quiet best nights sleep we ever had. We will be staying here again hopefully very soon.

Summary: Ideally located for the best parts of the Brecon Beacons, with views across to Pen y Fan, Wernyfed is a lovely little cottage adjoining the owner's house. It was immaculately clean and fresh, with the most comfortable double bed, and owners Alan and Joan were on hand to answer all our questions with the utmost patience and interest. Summary: We had a fabulous week at Wernyfed and will definitely be looking to repeat our visit next year. Brecon Beacons and a whole host of walks are on the doorstep and there are so many places to see and explore a short drive away. The house had everything you could possibly need (we will definitely be buying a reclining sofa now!) and the owners were fantastic; very friendly but not at all intrusive. Summary: This beautiful cottage, in the Brecon Beacons, was the best we have ever stayed in. Everything in it looks brand new and top quality. Perfect for a couple, everything you need for a wonderful self-catering holiday is provided. Very well stocked modern kitchen. Bathroom with walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries. The double bed is very comfortable and cosy. The living-room has a gorgeous electric recliner sofa, free-sat tv and wifi. There are plenty of maps and booklets of places to visit provided. The views are fantastic. The owners are a lovely friendly couple who made us feel very welcome and surprised us with home-made scones, jam, clotted cream, butter, welsh cakes and milk on arrival, and then shared their home-grown tomatoes with us. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and family and we are looking forward to staying here again.
