Positive: Great sized apartment, quiet location, and a few minutes walk to the park and lake. It takes roughly 45 minutes to walk from here across Alexander Bridge to the Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill. The apartment has almost everything you will need, it has all the expected gadgets, plus good quality, clean bedding, plenty of towels and toilet paper (well, we didn't have toilet paper when we arrived but some was brought to us later that evening). However, it does not have any basics, such as shampoo, body wash, tea bags, coffee pods, milk, washing up liquid or washing powder. All things we have received in other apartments, some of which have been much cheaper than staying here. Great to have private off-road parking (free). Supermarket nearby. Great location for walking into Ottawa.
Negative: One of the facilities listed is view. The only view is of the road and the high-rise building opposite. Which is not an especially great view when you are sitting on the toilet! Anyone heard of frosted glass?? Terrible lighting, half the light bulbs are blown and the lounge light doesn't work at all. Of the four apartments, one was empty and for sale, and two were empty. We checked that the apartment we were staying in was not booked for the following day, then asked if we could check out but leave our car there (in one of the 4 empty parking spaces) until 1pm. Their reply "until 1pm is fine, but after that it will be towed". (just that, no hello, nothing). Some may think this reply was unnecessarily aggressive and rude, especially as we had been polite and understanding over the complete lack of toilet roll on arrival. (Even though my wife was very annoyed by this, as after a three hour drive, we had to get back into the car and find a McDonald's just so she could wee. Not a happy woman!). I'm not sure their customer service is all that friendly. The list of 12 house rules is a bit much.

Positive: Great price, location & looks cute.
Negative: Dishwasher is just a decoration, bring your own dishwasher detergent if you want to use it. Otherwise you have to hand wash everything with a dry old sponge left underneath the sink (or paper towels in my case) and without a dish rack to let the dishes dry. Having the dishes clean, dried & put away is a rule for the stay, despite my communication with the host, I had to empty the dishwasher, clean all the dishes and take pictures in case they try to charge me extra cleaning fees. Washer was broken. Tv doesn't work. A man entered the unit at 8:30 am. Without knocking while we were sleeping despite the check out being at 11 am. These issues were communicated to the host, the reply was mostly being sorry for the inconveniences. On the last night, one of the other unit seemed to be throwing a party. Loud voices & banging on the walls up until 1 am. A woman (most likely another renter) was smoking on the steps of the unit downstairs and the smell would get upstairs. Overall, not really suited for long stays (more than 2 nights).

Positive: The appartement is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen. Good location.
Negative: We were warned that shampoo, body wash, coffee pods would not be provided, so we went to a store and bought everything. When we arrived however, we discovered that there was also no soap and no toilet paper, although it was explicitly stated that they will be provided. We bought a lot of it, so at least the guests arriving after us are covered. The appartement was far from perfectly clean, had some cracks and stains. Some parts looked like the renovation had started, but was not completed. But the worst was for sure the bathroom. The shower is completely non-adjustable, it’s basically a ray of water hitting from one wall into the opposite one. So, to shower you have to place yourself in between. The shower curtain was stained and smelly.
Summary: In general, we think that the place has great potential, once it’s cleaned and brought into a good condition. Until then
