This gorgeous, newly renovated heritage home has a master bedroom loft encompassing the entire top floor with soaring ceilings and wide open space. The main floor has a second bedroom, living room with gas fireplace, den with TV, dining room and full executive kitchen with tons of space for cooking and eating. Huge private back patio with BBQ and comfy furniture for lounging and dining.
The Space:
The location just can’t be beaten! Located one block from the Museum of History and the Alexandra (Interprovincial) Bridge you are only a short walk to everything the downtown core has to offer.
A beautiful 10-15 minute stroll to the National Gallery, the Byward Market, the Rideau Centre, and Parliament Hill. A 5-minute walk to enjoy the 5 à 7 (happy hour) at the great local bars and restaurants along Laval Street.1 Block away is access to the entire network of Ottawa/Gatineau bike and recreation trails, as well as bus stops for both the Ottawa and Gatineau transit systems. At the Museum, you can board the water taxi (seasonal service) to cross the river to Ottawa or continue and try your luck at the Casino. VeloGo bike shares located nearby. Uber and taxis are always available. There are public transportation options available for the Ottawa airport and train station.

There are approximately 10 steps to reach the living spaces from the front entrance, and a further 15 to reach the master bedroom loft. The bedroom loft does not have a door, but you cannot see inside due to the layout of the space. However, noise will carry. You can store bicycles inside the front entry as it is a large, easily cleaned space.

Summary: Beautiful spacious apartment in a great location. We brought our e-bikes and biked Rideau canal , Ottawa River pathways and to Byward market and parliament buildings. The location was perfect with proximity to Alexandra bridge to cross to Ottawa. We were able to store our bikes in the front entrance ( about 6 outdoor stairs to climb). There was a little variety shop across the street with great fresh made sandwiches ! The kitchen was well equipped and patio was lovely! There are 2 full staircases which wasn’t a big problem for us. Also bedroom air conditioner was quite noisy. We would come back again and recommend to others!

Summary: - security problem: other tenants accessed our rental unit with a key that was mistakenly put in their key box - three intruders confronted by my wife. This entry was a shock to us and led to a sense of distrust with the fundamental management methods of VRBO... And the response from the PM - " I'm very sorry this mix up happened. We will come sort through the keys to make sure they are all properly sorted nothing further ". -poor a/c throughout: the aftermarket a/c units were noisy and not terribly effective. The industrial grade fans were also noisy and overpowered. -bbq propane tank was empty: fortunately this was replaced the next with a full tank. -smoke odour throughout: not a pleasant experience for non-smokers. -in-house netflix connection inoperative: we had to use our personal account to access this service. -waterworks shower: the lack of an enclosed shower caused undue water accumulation in the bathroom area. Despite these problems, the the unit was in a great location. Would expect some form of compensation for the breach of our privacy and indifferent/nonchalant response from the property manager.

Summary: Lovely spacious apartment. The Photos don't do it justice. Its really big and lots of storage. Location is perfect by the Canadian History Museum and a quick walk across the Alexandra bridge takes you in to all the main sites in Ottawa Only slight downside is the air conditioning units are really really loud so you can't have them on at night and its really warm in the bedroom. But this might only be a problem for a short time in the year !

Summary: We are sisters-in-law visiting Ottawa for a few days. The property is beautifully updated, spacious and with a large outdoor living space during warmer weather. Murphy bed was very comfortable. Small independent convenience store immediately across the street. 5 minute walk to the Canadian Museum of History, the Alexandra Bridge (which has a wide pedestrian sidewalk) and to the river frount park with walking trails. We loved staying here. It was a relaxing place to come back to each day.

Summary: We loved this wonderful flat just over the bridge from Ottawa, perfect for our week as tourists in the area. It had everything we needed and more, was handy to the museums, galleries and restaurants we had on our must visit list, and we enjoyed the daily 2 or 4 walks over the Alexandra Bridge. We didn't get a chance to see Gatineau Park and Domaine McKenzie King so we are already planning our next trip for spring or fall 2023. We hope to stay at the flat again next time!

Summary: A very relaxing place in Gatineau just across the Alexandra Bridge from Parliamant Hill. The house was set up well for cooking, playing games and relaxing. An easy walk to the Byward market, National Gallery, Parliamant or hiking along the Ottawa River. Very clean and easy to come and go.
