Summary: We had spent a few glorious, although very hot days in Rome; Susan had connected us with a car service - Stefano Agostini, who met us in Rome, in fact, he walked to find us and help us with our bags, simply exceptional. We arrived at the villa, late afternoon and were met by our charming host Guido on Susan's behalf, who presented us with a welcome basket of gorgeous food. Guido showed us around the lovely villa which is just like the photos. The kitchen is well equipped with a large dining area inside and two wonderful areas to eat outside. Downstairs there are two cosy areas with soft chairs and sofas, plus an office/tv room again with perfect seating. There is also a modern toilet and shower room as well as a large laundry/ironing/pantry room. Upstairs, there are four beautiful double bedrooms two with en-suites and two that share a bathroom and toilet. We were there when the temperatures were in the high 30's low 40's. There isn't any air conditioning but with the shutters closed the house stays reasonably cool in the day and the shutters can be opened at night. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms, and we all slept very well. The pool area is lovely with loungers, a table and chairs. Near one of the outside dining areas, nestled within olive trees there is a BBQ and a wonderful very old Pizza oven. The Villa is well situated to explore the wonders of Umbria, but it is equally perfect as an idyllic escape. Thank you, Susan and Guido

Summary: Really great property in beautiful surroundings- great welcome from Host and owner- really well equipped property! Great pool and outdoor areas - good kitchen- lovely bedrooms- lounges great! All in all excellent and we would highly recommend it

Summary: Without a doubt one of the BEST weeks in Italy we have ever had due in large part to this villa. Fondo le Teglie is an incredible villa located about 15 minutes away from Todi. The villa is has everything you can possibly need to feel like you've "come home". We had 4 bedrooms to choose from, enough bathrooms for everyone and a fabulous kitchen for our in home dining. Would definitely make this a repeat destination and would NEVER hesitate to refer this lovely Umbrian villa to anyone. It's a very special place!

Summary: This villa and Susan's in depth knowledge of activities in the area is the ultimate in vacation destinations. The beautiful countryside is a backdrop for outdoor dining, walks, and ancient history. If you love to cook the kitchen is tops. Susan has a multitude of options for local day trips: sightseeing famous locales, eating, local massages or shopping. With the pool and library the comfortable lounging areas give everyone a restful day for those deciding to spend the day at the villa. Visitors will find that one week flies far too quickly and will appreciate the pre-planning Susan offers.

Summary: My family and I spent a wonderful week at Susan's villa. The house was the perfect spot for us to use as a base for our daily adventures into the neighboring towns. In addition Susan helped us schedule a cook for the house, a cooking class and an afternoon at a Linen Factory. Her local knowledge helped to make our trip an amazing experience that we will never forget and hope to repeat again in the future.
