We are the new owners of this amazing property. The most defining feature is the superior coastal location, 180 degree sea views and Mt Taranaki is picture perfect in the distance. The environment is rural and peaceful. The cottage is in as new condition in all respects with tasteful decoration/art works and all round facilities. Extensive decking adjoins together with lawns and 1 hectare of pastured land. The white Cliffs coastal walkway is nearby and has options of 1.5 hr or 3.5 hr walks including along the beach. Cafe 487 and Wai-Iti Cafe are only a few kilometres away. Wai iti beach is sandy and provides safe swimming, extensive walking options (tidal) and excellent fishing. Urenui township is a 10 mins drive and has a tavern, cafe, takeaways, hair dresser etc. New Plymouth City is a 30 min drive and has all the features of a very progressive and prosperous regional city with the strong dairying and petrochemical industries in Taranaki contributing to this vibrant atmosphere. Mt Taranaki is an easy 40 min drive and offers climbing, tramping, scenic, skiing options.

Summary: Great art and wonderful layout. Lots of room and well thought out. All those wide wide doors and windows bring the outside in. A great base to explore the area - I circumnatigated the Forgotten World highway and it was wonderful and a little terrifying. Super Hosts! Everything as described.

Summary: Our first impression was great! Amazing views!! However we were quite horrified at the lack of cleanliness (heavy dust, cobwebs and dead flies!!) 2 bedrooms with stunning seaviws were lovely but the 3rd room/laundry wasnt great! The water pump is loud and starts up throughout the night (when any water is used at all toilet etc)! Didnt get much sleep! Outdoor furniture was dated and tatty (the sofa!) Would recommend loungers & or beanbags for more comfort outdoors Loved the kitchen & big island for food preparation..
