The Puffin, a 1906 Dutch Colonial Revival home, beckons you to relax on the inviting wraparound verandah as you indulge yourself in the sights and sound of our charming seaside home. We are located in the heart of Cape May's historic district, just 1/2 block to the beautiful Cape May beach, recently rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the US by the Travel Channel. The Puffin is conveniently located just steps away from a variety of dining and shopping experiences both along Beach Avenue and the Washington Street Mall.
Our lower level suite, The Terrace, offers 2 bedrooms and a recently updated kitchen/living area as well as a full updated bathroom. Although you may be tempted to step back in time when you enter Cape May, be assured that we provide all of the modern conveniences to make you stay enjoyable. Our kitchen is equipped with granite counters, dishwasher, oven, stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Central air conditioning, a 50" flat screen TV in the living area, a 28" flat screen TV in the main bedroom, and a two step down rear courtyard private entrance make it an ideal suite for families and seniors. A sleeper sofa in the living room allows accommodations for 6 guests.
We are open year round, so visit often. Experience a relaxing summer vacation, Victorian Week in October, a festive Victorian Christmas celebration in December. or any of the numerous other activities and special events throughout the year. Remember...location is key. And there is no better location in Cape May than 32 Jackson Street!

Summary: The communal washer/dryer was right outside our door which was great because we had loads of laundry with the baby. The location can't be beat. The apartment was cozy and a perfect amount of space for us.

Summary: The Puffin was very clean, modernized, and a perfect place to stay. It had a complete kitchen, living room / dining area, and 2 spacious bedrooms with queen size beds. There was mention of low ceilings, I am 5' 6" and there wasn't any problem. I would guess if you are 6 foot or under, you will not have a problem. It is about 100 steps to the beach and about 150 steps to the Mall area which is filled with shops and various restaurants. It is a ground floor, 2 steps down and very easy to load and unload. It has on-site parking and another off-site parking permit included. It also has 4 beach passes ($25.00 each for a week otherwise). There is a washer and dryer right next to the entrance door. It has outside shower with hot and cold water. There is covered space for beach gear, but I kept mine in the back of the SUV. This is the 4th site I've been to in Cape May and it is a 10, the others were a 4 or 5. The owners communicated throughout from when we first booked. They left all the details you need to know on the refrigerator. They set up the door code for you and it is emailed a few days ahead. I definitely will stay there again. Summary: My best friend and I had the most amazing time. The apartment was perfect for us and the porch was magical to sit on and watch the activity. The location cannot be beat!!! Just park your car and walk everywhere!!! The only minor issue was that the bedroom is very bright at night. The neighbors have their lights on until well after midnight and it lit up the room. Luckily I had brought a sleeping mask just in case. Black out curtains would help. I’m sure it wouldn’t bother many people but I can’t sleep if it isn’t dark. We loved our stay and are hoping to stay here again!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Summary: The Terrace is an ideal place to stay in Cape May. Half a block from the beach, one block from shopping district. Restaurants are just a walk away. On site parking. Terrace was spotless, nicely furnished and up to date. We will be back. My first 10 out of 10 rating.
