Nearby towns to visit include Kidwelly with its ancient castle remains to explore; sitting on the mouth of the Loughor Estuary, Burry Port is a pretty Welsh coastal town with iconic lighthouse and harbour; Llanelli is the largest market town in Carmarthenshire and provides a home to Parc Y Scarlets if you want to see a game of rugby, or a day of activities and shopping at the retail centre. There is also a beach here.
There are lots of places to eat nearby, whether you visit a local pub or head to one of the lovely towns for more options. Cynheidre is relatively central to South Wales making a great base for exploring further afield. West Wales is popular for beach days and coastal activities; head up towards the Brecon Beacons, famous for impressive mountains, waterfall walks and biking trails; or east towards Swansea and Cardiff where you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of two of the biggest cities.
