The former Royal Oak Hotel, in the centre of Keswick, was architecturally converted into individual holiday apartments. Loft 10 is an extremely bright apartment at the top of the building accessed through a communal entrance with lift to the second floor then stairs up to the third floor. Renovated to a good standard, with a contemporary style, Loft 10 is delightfully decorated, with stunning views over the rooftops of Keswick to Skiddaw. Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake are a 10-minute stroll through the beautifully landscaped Hope Park Memorial Gardens, with mini-golf, crazy golf and putting. The Keswick Launch Company operate regular trips around the lake each day, with numerous drop-off points if you wish to continue on foot. Keswick is renowned for its spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains, a vast array of outdoor activity shops and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Summary: We stayed for Christmas 2019 and although a little small for three adults it had everything we needed and great views as well. We really appreciated the Christmas foodstuffs the owners left us. The only thing preventing me from giving it a 10 rating across the board is that the WiFi seems to be for the whole building and sometimes struggles to get all the way to the top floor. Also I found the bed in the main bedroom a little low. Otherwise I highly recommend.

Summary: Loft 10 location was excellent, in the middle of Keswick with views of the hills over the roof tops. Loft 10 had everything we needed, clean and well presented. The bathroom is a little tight but practical.
