A lot of thought and care has gone into creating the perfect holiday experience, with guests’ comfort top on the list of priorities. (Hot water is limited to 50 degrees) Upstairs you’ll find the spacious living room with a wood burner (logs supplied) as well as a second bedroom, which also features a kingsize bed, TV and an en-suite shower room.

If you like outdoor adventure including walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Skiddaw, Blencathra, Catbells and Latrigg, all within a few miles. Derwentwater, offering sailing and other water sports is just 2 miles away. The bustling town of Keswick is just 1 mile away, which is an easy walk, or a short 5-minute taxi ride if you want to leave the car behind and head out for a meal and a few drinks. Keswick is vibrant and has a great outdoor market; its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops, with both outdoor and fashion brands. Plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls are also to be found. If you like culture, check out the Theatre By The Lake, 2 miles, with arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, where you can hire a rowing boat or even take a dip.
