Summary: They need to let their holiday makers aware there is NO WIFI OR PHONE SIGNAL for miles. Need to put a landline in for emergency. TV needs to be more than a portable. Saying all that the cottage was beautiful

Summary: We really enjoyed our week at Pear tree cottage. It made an excellent base to explore the north of Cornwall. It is very secluded with most amenities being a 10 minute car ride away down very narrow roads. If you want hustle and bustle then it might not be for you but we didn’t mind the driving and loved being out of the way.

Summary: Greta was lovely and had put some milk in the fridge and a packet of biscuits by the kettle for our arrival. The cottage itself was very nice and quiet. The TV was very small and unfortunately due to the weather not being too great we returned to the cottage quite early each day. The location of the cottage was very isolated with Tesco's at Callington being the nearest shop. There was nowhere to walk to and if you don't like driving through narrow twisty lanes, this isn't the place for you. I quickly realised that driving to Callington got you onto a main road quicker and didn't add too much extra time onto any journey.

Summary: A very warm welcome from the owners. Thanks for the milk on arrival we could have a cup of tea before we went shopping. Very clean house with all the things you require during our stay. Plenty of towels etc. Close by are a number of supermarkets including Lidl & Waitrose. It’s a great location to explore Devon and Cornwall with most tourist destinations within an hours drive. Make sure you walk down to the woods as it’s peaceful and beautiful walk. The dogs and chickens are super friendly and would always greet us and say hello. Thanks for your hospitality it was a fantastic break and we will be back. The fresh free range eggs from the farm make fantastic poached eggs.

Summary: Nice break away from it all. My two children were happy to play with the farm dogs that were friendly. There is no Wi-fi available the cottage, the owners are friendly and on call if needed. Cottage had all you needed, there isn’t a washing machine but there is a dishwasher. lots of spiders around, I know it’s in the country but I’m not too keen on sharing a bedroom with them! The main bed is very hard and neither of us had a good nights sleep, and it could all do with ‘good’ clean. Situated well for Plymouth day trips and about 20mins from the nearest beach. Nice pub a walk away down the country lanes.

Summary: A warm welcome on our arrival and a fabulous base for visiting the local attractions. No WiFi and very limited phone signal (behind the cottage if you need it) which meant even our teenage son spent time with us. Very peaceful and stunning views
