Historic and lovingly maintained West End property in quiet building. Excellent proximity to numerous eateries, art galleries, shops and within walking distance to Portland's Old Port and a short drive to area beaches, airport, train station and many scenic attractions.
Lower level has living room with hardwood floors which opens to large office space, eat-in kitchen with new stainless appliances and granite counter tops, and fully renovated bath with new tile flooring and vanity. High ceilings, light filled rooms, and period details.
Upper level has newer wall to wall carpeting with 2 large bedrooms. Large walk-in closets, 1 queen and 1 full bed, full length mirrors and attractive decor. Both bedrooms have window a/c units. Light filled seating area or reading nook with skylight finishes off this area.
Other amenities include WiFi access, secured entries, shared courtyard, a/c wall units, etc. Clean, hip and stylish!
Please note that there is TV monitor but no cable or television service available with this unit. There IS WiFi access and a lovely office area with a desk, chair, and book shelf.
Also note that there is only 1 bathroom in this unit and it is on the 1st floor which is on a separate level than the 2 bedrooms.

Summary: The location was great for going between places for activities and dinners. Place was very nice. You need to get a pizza cutter other than that missing item we had everything we needed. A second Tv upstairs would be really nice Thank you for a great experience. Linda and Steve

Summary: Wonderful stay and a great location to everything in Portland. Street parking was never an issue and we loved getting to walk around to the local shops and restaurants.

Summary: This property worked out well for my family’s visit. We were walking distance to many places, but still had a rental car in order to get to a grocery store and further away activities. It would have been nice for there to be a blow up mattress, as there was extra unused space with 4 of us staying there. The kitchen could have had a few additional items, such as tools for cracking shellfish (as we are in Maine), a few spices, etc. all in all a good place!

Summary: My wife and I were in town for a wedding and this was a great place to stay. It’s a quick walk to the downtown area and had great coffee shops/cafes within the immediate area. Great place for a long weekend.

Summary: We picked this spot due to its location to be able to go north or south in Maine. It was clean, tidy, and in a quiet neighborhood. The only downside was trying to find parking, otherwise we had a wonderful stay! The host was easy to work with.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in the West End area of Portland. Jeff, the owner, was very easy to get in touch with. He allowed us to check in early since no one was there the day before. I loved the location! Very easy to walk to Ruskies, a tavern, several coffee shops and two corner markets ( Fresh Approach made wonderful sandwiches). We also walked to the Portland Art Museum. I met several of the neighbors who were a delight to chat with. The only hard part for us seniors (70+). was the stairs. My husband was to have knee replacement surgery on our return home. The apartment was on the second floor and there were also stairs from the main floor to the bedrooms. But we managed. I wouldn’t let the stairs hold you back if you are an able bodied person. It was so much fun to explore the area!

Summary: We stayed at the apartment for two weeks. It totally matched its description. It was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The host was responsive, even though we didn’t need him much. The kitchen was well stocked even though we never cooked while we were there because Portland has such an awesome food scene going on. The apartment location was perfect for our needs. It was fast to and from the highway yet in a quiet neighborhood. The only drawback is that there's no designated parking at the property. Street parking was difficult to find the night we arrived and our rental car was vandalized that first night - of course this had nothing to do with our host but it's something to keep in mind.
