Come and enjoy your stay at "The Beach Hive" Cottage. Approximately 70 miles from Washington D.C Annapolis and Northern VA. Our cozy beach cottage sleeps up to 7 people (1 Queen, 2 full and 1 twin bed). This cottage features everything you need from a full kitchen, cozy living space, private bedrooms and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. It also features a front porch for rocking and a screened back porch with relaxing hanging chairs. Beach access is just a few minutes walk from the front porch. Enjoy biking around St. Georges Island, Dinner and Drinks at the Ruddy Duck Seafood house or famous stuffed ham from Chiefs Restaurant. There is a boat ramp within 1 mile of the cottage where you can put your boat/jet ski in the Potomac River or do some recreational fishing.

Summary: We came from Florida to visit family with our 2 children (17 and 13). We tried to find hotels to stay at that could accommodate us without any luck. I stumbled upon this house on VRBO and liked that it had not only enough rooms but a full kitchen and living space. It was the perfect space to rent. Very clean and nice neighborhood. Charlotte was very friendly and responsive. We will be renting again when we return for any future visits!

Summary: Nice home located close to a small beach you have access to. Owner was very kind and let us check in early which was helpful with the inclement weather! Comfortable beds and kitchen was equipped with most things you need. Both porches are very nice to have!! Home was comfortable and met all our needs!

Summary: What a great place to stay! The Beach Hive is a very clean, cozy home with all the amenities that one might expect. The owner, Charlotte, is great…easy to work with and very attentive to any needs or questions (although we didn’t need anything). The cottage is well equipped, instructions were thorough and everything works. We were there for only 2 nights but wished we could have stay longer. The Piney Point area and St Mary’s County is full of interesting history with recreational opportunities for any interests plus there are a lot of fun places to eat. We will be back.

Summary: Charlotte is very easy to work with-- super communicative. Our experience was a relaxing little retreat for busy parents. The cottage is so cute! Our favorite part was the back porch, especially the hammock swing. Came stocked with amenities that made staying there easier. Crab dip from Chief's (5 minutes away) was delicious. Will book again in the summer time, bring the rest of the family & enjoy the beach!
