4 Bedroom House in Elk Lake, Hoffman

You can look far and wide and never find one like this again. We have a four bedroom house on two lakes! You can watch the sun rise over one lake, then watch it set over the other one. Too windy today on one lake? No problem, it's perfectly calm on the other. Never miss a moment of enjoyment. There is 335 feet of private lake shore to enjoy with a private beach!
We now have a 25' pontoon boat available for rent. We also have room for a trailer if you need.
This lake home has the ideal location. The back deck and bedroom windows are about 15' from the water of Lower Elk Lake. Enjoy a cool morning breeze through your bedroom window. Out the front there is another 165' of private shore on Elk Lake to go with the 150' of shore on Lower Elk Lake. We have a private sandy beach, hammock, fire pit, dock, and a boat lift on Elk Lake. There is another dock on Lower Elk. Along with the pontoon boat we also have five kayaks, three paddle boats, and two stand-up paddle boards for you to enjoy.
The home features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room, rumpus room (with foos-ball table, electronic dart board, video games, and board games), eat-in kitchen, deck, two patio doors right on the lake, all on two-thirds of an acre. There are seven beds that will sleep up to ten people plus a futon and roll-out couch in this 1,600 square foot home. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and there is a washer and dryer. We have a flat screen TV, high-speed internet, and Amazon Firestick. If you have a Netflix account you can log in on the TV). You can bring up dogs if you'd like (if housebroken). If you don't like doing dishes there is also a brand-new dishwasher.
Elk lake is the best swimming lake in the county. There is a public sandy beach with lifeguards (certain hours only) only a very short walk away. There is a brand-new bike trail that runs from the public beach right to town.
Both Elk and Lower Elk are great sand bottom fishing lakes. In either lake you can go after Walleye, Northern Pike, Large mouth Bass, Crappie, and Sunfish. You're able to fish from the shore, one of the three docks or from a boat. There is even a fish cleaning table by the garage.
Only two miles away you can find Hoffman, MN. Hoffman is a small quiet town but you'll be able to get most of the necessities you'll need there. It has a gas station, a restaurant, a bar/restaurant, grocery store, liquor store, and other shops. In the town of Elbow Lake there is Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course. We have a special deal going with them, so contact me if you'd like to golf.
If you need a little more action than sleepy Hoffman is able to provide that's not a problem as you're only about twenty minutes away from Alexandria MN. Alexandria has lots of shopping at dozens of antique stores and other shops. There are plenty of restaurants, retail stores, golf courses, and even a winery.

Summary: We had a great time at this house. We enjoyed the pontoon, kayaks and paddle board. It was a fully stocked kitchen with grill outside which made it easy to cook. Lots of games to play with (indoors and out) and movies to watch. Just wish we could have caught more fish. Also, owner was very accommodating and easy to contact with quick responses if you need anything.

Summary: Caught a good amount of pan fish and some large bass. Beautiful views all around. House was full of anything one would need but the food. Pontoon was large and nice. Alexandria had a lot of fun to do! Only thing we would change was we could only go on Elk lake and not Lower Elk Lake

Summary: Property was about what we expected. Fishing was poor but the lake is really clear and we had clear sunny skies all week and temps we near 100 everyday. That made fishing tough. The beach is great. Traffic on the road between the house and the lake was busy at times making it a little nerve racking at times because we had 4 young kids going back and forth between the lake and the house. Over all the 15 of us had a great time

Summary: This house could be great, the location between two lakes is great and close to the beach and good fishing. However, the amount of cleaning that we had to do upon arrival was disappointing. The house has been pretty much run into the ground with no updates on anything. Doors that don’t shut/lock, windows that don’t stay open, etc. Kitchen cabinets so full of stuff that we had no place to unpack our items, same with the garage. Two out of the three boats didn’t work when we arrived, we were able to fix one ourselves and the manager did come out to look at them while we were there. One of the two pontoon boats is in rough shape and needs to be taken to the dump or set on fire. The road by the house has more traffic then you’d expect and cars were speeding down it all week. No A/C unit installed in one of the upstairs bedrooms like it says there is so sleeping a few of the nights was nearly impossible. Overall we had a great time, but the property was not the reason for that. It’s unfortunate because it could be the perfect yearly get away, but in its current condition I would not stay there again and am confused as to how this property can be on vrbo in all honesty.

Summary: We rented this property to stay while we visited our daughters family/grandkids who also live on the same lake just a few doors down. IT WAS AWESOME! We brought our 2 little dogs and they loved it too! We have learned this is the only way to visit the family and have peace and quiet at night for after dinner adult cocktail sitting by the lake! Thank you Tim, Property Owner/Manager, it was perfect!

Summary: Had a fun time with family. Fishing was good-no walleye, but lots of bass and bluegill. The pontoon was a nice addition! Weather was very good!! Had several nice fires and some spirited foosball! House was a little dated, but comfortable and very functional!!
