This quaint cottage is a great retreat for someone with a fast paced lifestyle. Relax in the private, fenced backyard with a deck and outdoor patio with furniture, hammock, and charcoal grill.
Our cottage is close to the Lakeside Trail (a paved bicycle/walking path) which runs throughout the tri-cities area, leading you directly to downtown Grand Haven and Lake Michigan! Minutes to the lake, walk to antique stores, close to shopping and dining! Take our paddle boards (2) and kid's kayak (1) (and life jackets) to the end of the street to get into Spring Lake and enjoy some time on the water. We are close to sand dunes and many great hiking places (North Ottawa Dunes, Kitchel/Lindquist/Hartger Dunes Preserve, Rosy Mound Natural Area, JP Hoffmaster State Park, Ottawa Sands County Park)

Summary: Charming home on a quiet street in a nice area. The cottage is deceivingly larger than it looks from the outside. There are a couple of areas inside for kids for reading, coloring, playing games and such. We are originally from this area and needed a place to stay that would allow dogs. The back yard is enclosed with a privacy fence which is great for kids and pets.

Summary: Stayed here for my son’s soccer tournament. Great home base, very close to Grand Haven. Beds were comfortable and home was a good size for a small family and pet. My son loved the reading area and all the games and building activities. My dog enjoyed the fenced in backyard and the nice walking trail around Spring Lake. We loved the sushi and Mexican restaurant right up the road. Unfortunately the lake was too open to do any ice fishing like we were hoping. Owner was very responsive and worked with my changing travel days.

Summary: Lovely spot for a little getaway for my dogs and I. It felt like the host really cared about the guests’ comfort. Touches like nice sheets, extra blankets, and toiletries to use as needed made it a very comfortable experience. This is a great location close to downtown grand haven and all the parks we wanted to explore. I hope we’ll be invited to stay again in the future.

Summary: I cannot wait to come back here and stay again. We were in town for a quick soccer weekend and we are looking forward to staying again in the summer. My husband and I stayed with our five and eight year old boys. My senior parents also joined us for one night. The location is amazing. We were able to walk to restaurants, playgrounds, parks and fishing spots. Driving into Grand Haven and Spring Lake for the beaches and dog parks was quick and easy. The house itself was clean (plus a few bugs - understandable being so close to the water) and VERY WELL STOCKED. We had everything we needed for young children and dogs. My oldest loved the full library for reading and the five year old was constantly busy with a game or activity box. It was also fun to teach them about the VCR. The dog loved the backyard. The layout of the house was great for our family and the beds were extremely comfortable. When the weather is warmer, we will be back for morning coffee and evening drinks on the deck. I would recommend this property to all of my friends and family, especially the ones with dogs.
