4 Bedroom House in Michigan, Lake Linden

Peace and Serenity abound at our 4 bedroom 3 bath Lake Superior Cabin/Home. WHICH IS ALSO SUPER CLOSE TO SKIING AT MT BOHEMIA. We have Completely renovated virtually every room, with a complete rebuild of a larger gourmet kitchen, 2 luxury custom bathrooms. This home is new to the rental market today but brought up to date by an owner who is experienced at renting and taking care of the needs of vacation renters. This home is in between 2 WONDERFUL neighbors who are friendly helpful and quiet (please be equally respectful to them as well!). Perfect for that family vacation.
Furniture is all brand new or newer/ character pieces. There are 2 ensuite Master bedrooms one larger with smaller half bath, one smaller bedroom with Brand new larger full bath with custom shower. Mattresses include a a Beautyrest Black Ultraplush in one and a memory foam in the other. The 3rd bedroom is walkthrough with a queen bed. The 4th bedroom is a larger lake front with spectacular full-length views of Lake Superior with a QUEEN/FULL bunk bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a new LG door in door french door refrigerator, induction cooktop stove with airfry oven. New Dishwasher (no hand washing at this lake home!)
Lake access is via a very short (like 25 ft?) wooden pathway from the house to the Deck which literally overhangs the water at times. there are a few steps that take you down the 4 feet to the water. Beach is solid sandstone in hues of browns and tans and red swirls.
Internet is via Starlink and is FAST!!! more than enough to handle all of your streaming needs.
Kitchen has everything you need including LOTS of spices everything you need to prepare any kind of food. propane barbeque onsite as well

Summary: House was decent other than a few things. Sleeping 10 is a stretch(unless you consider the couch) but the listing says it sleeps 10. Living room is set up for about 4 people. Bathroom doors did not shut. I understand now why the previous review mentioned the yard. While the wild flowers were beautiful when in bloom, between that and the back yard being over grown it was way to inviting for the bugs. It would have been nice to have a place at the house to have a outdoor bonfire also but the beach just down the road gave us a perfect opportunity (which was awesome). The water was perfect for the kids to play in right off the rocks at the end of the deck. The house is fairly centrally located within about 40 minutes from most major Kewanee hot spots. Lastly a better containment system would be helpful to keep out bear. The plastic bins with lids didn’t cut it. Over all we enjoyed our time.

Summary: Even though you can tell that updates are still being worked on, the house was very nice. Everything is up to date and it was very clean. We liked the house and would recommend it.

Summary: Most of doors were hard to open and close. Gas grill in poor condition. No a/c. No fire pit! Bed rm with 1/2 bath has a bad musty smell and 1/2 bath was filthy. Exterior not very appealing. Not enough seating in living area for our party of 8. One sofa and one chair. No hot water for two days. I don't like to be so negative but that is a lot ?

Summary: The home was pretty. Had to clean the toilet in bathroom it was coded with black film. Sheets in middle room smelled old. Property could use a weed wack or maintain the foliage. View of water from windows is somewhat blocked by trees. No beach front lots of big rocks. It was convenient for sight seeing the UP. Lots of mosquitos. We did have a wonderful time though. Whom ever is cleaning needs to get under the beds and dust. All the extras in home are well stocked.

Summary: Winter this year was tough. House is nice, bring bottled water for drinking, you'll be glad you did. Shower is awesome!!! View is second to none. Bring your own grill!

Summary: Great place, 10 miles from mt Bohemia. Accommodated our group of 9 perfectly. All the amenities we needed as well as a wood burning fireplace to warm up next to after being out on the slopes, and Lake Superior steps away for fantastic views from the living room window while we enjoyed our morning coffee.

Summary: We had a very relaxing time at Michael’s home which features beautiful views of Lake Superior and wonderful autumn color. Both sunrise and sunset can be seen from the patio deck and rocks. The area is remote but quiet. The house has a nice homey feeling with comfortable furniture and pleasing amenities. Everything was very clean and in its place. The owner and property manager were both very responsive to our questions and needs. The location was also excellent for our plans: We visited Eagle and Copper Harbors, drove the Brockway Mountain Drive – a must if you want to see Fall colors which were wonderful in mid October – and we also did some modest hiking. On one of our bad weather days we visited the Quincey Mine near Hancock. Afterwards we also did the waterfront walk in Houghton, stopping for some great hot soup at the Library restaurant. This is our 4th trip to the U.P. and the rental was perfect for our exploration of this area. We would definitely recommend it.

Summary: We specifically chose this property because we wanted somewhere that was extremely quiet, was right on the shore of Lake Superior, had a well-stocked kitchen we could cook to our heart's content in, and a really comfy bed. It checked all the boxes and then some. This newly renovated home is beautiful and functional down to the smallest detail. Rarely do we check into a VRBO home and find all the hangers and drawer space we need. We were able to unpack and live in the home for the week we were there as if it were our own. No living out of suitcases in this one! They even had beach towels; although at this point in the season, getting in the lake wasn't an option. But if it's warm enough, you certainly could. The shore right in front of the house is rocky, and there's a lovely little park about a 1/2 mile down the road that has a sand beach. Either spot would be great for swimming and playing in the water. While this home isn't close to a grocery store or a gas station, they are all easy enough to get to (<30 minutes) and all on paved roads. Getting anywhere takes a bit more driving than we're used to, but the isolation and quiet are worth it. The house also has a great internet connection. I was only half joking when I told people we were going into the woods of the Keweenaw Peninsula and hoped not to have internet or phone service (it's been a wild couple of years at work), but I was actually relieved to have the internet at the house because you don't have it most anywhere else on the peninsula. I wanted to be disconnected, but not THAT disconnected! We're going to miss sitting on the deck and watching the lake and the sunrises and sunsets. Because of the orientation of the house, you get to see both! A bonus we weren't expecting. Best of all, the owners are very hospitable and lovely to work with. It's a great house and the perfect spot to get away from it all!

Summary: Coming from Central Indiana, were looking for a nice place to relax, explore the Keneewaw Peninsula, and experience Lake Superior. This wonderful Lake side home and it's Host, allowed us to do just that! While having a modest exterior with natural landscape, when you enter, you are presented with a wonderfully updated, extremely clean interior that has everything you need for the perfect stay. The kitchen is modern, very well stocked and is open to the living area with large windows looking directly at Lake Superior! The view is great and could be made even better with some minor selective trimming of tree limbs. We were blessed with 5 days of incredible weather which allowed us to relax and enjoy the new lake side deck, amazing lake conditions, sunrises and sunsets! We found the Peninsula has a lot of mining history to explore, scenic drives through forests and along the Lake shore, plus some wonderful local restaurants to enjoy. Thanks to Micheal, Julia and Larisa for helping make our visit one to remember!
