Ideal for families, it makes a perfect retreat from which to explore the stunning scenery of the Trossachs. From its large seated patio, or the garden room if it’s raining, you can enjoy the stunning views from its enviable location.
With immediate access to woodland walks and cycle paths, whether climbing, walking, cycling or wildlife spotting (red squirrels in the garden), there is plenty to do close by. After a busy day enjoy a meal at the large dining table (seats eight or more) and afterwards try a board game or jigsaw puzzle. On a clear night you can relax in the hot tub and just stargaze. On a cold day there is also a wood burner to enjoy.
Other activities available locally include golf, horse riding/trekking, fishing, water sports and cycle hire. The village shop, café and pub are within walking distance, and within a short drive you have the beautiful Loch Katrine, the spectacular Falls of Dochart in Killin and the popular town of Callander, which offers many restaurants, coffee shops, arts and crafts outlets and a visitor’s centre. Loch Lomond, Fort William, Oban, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow, with its superb shopping and vibrant night life, are no more than 90 minutes away.

Summary: Well presented and clean house. Owners need to tell future clients about the access road and the steepness of the driveway. Close to local amenities in Strathyre , but a good half hour drive to Calendar .

Summary: We had a really great time at the cottage, because of the Covid situation we didn’t eat out but took everything with us to make meals in for the week. Every utensil we needed was in the cottage. We have 2 dogs and they loved it too, the garden was big and all enclosed so they could just roam. We loved sitting watching the birds and the squirrels visiting the various feeding stations in the garden and the hot tub was amazing after walking for miles each day exploring the area. Summary: We had a wonderful break in Scotland, due to Covid we were a little nervous travelling. The house was perfect, plenty of space for everyone and ideal location to visit various parts of Scotland. There were plenty of walks from the house and further afield. The bungalow was well stocked with facilities, the hot tub was great after a long walk. We enjoyed the photo wall in the dining room and managed to identify most of them. The teenagers enjoyed the games room at the bottom of the garden and WiFi was pretty good as they didn’t complain. It is hard to work out layout from photos but it is a good size for 8 people. The locks were beautiful and mountains stunning only a short distance away. The local shop was small but good for emergencies and insect spray. Plenty of shops in Callander and Stirling too as well as things to do. If we are visiting again we would certainly return to Tigh Rainreach Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Went with my friends to celebrate my 60th birthday. Perfect for a ladies get together. Cottage has everything you could possibly need. It was spotlessly clean and robust covid practices in place. We loved the hot tub and sauna and even had a go at the table football. Nice walks on the doorstep and 5 min walk to local pub for dinner. Only negative for us was that we couldn't find anyone who would deliver a carryout meal to Strathyre but we managed to make do with pizzas from wee village ship. Really enjoyed watching the red squirrels and variety of birds who came to feed on the nuts in the garden. Communication from the owners was excellent too.
