Positive: Really nice village for a short stay. House info was good and we loved the favourite pub recommendation. Good size bedrooms. Nice bed linen. Kitchen well stocked, a few tea bags would be good. If no welcome pack.
Negative: Cobwebs on the outside furniture. Outside space was a little grotty. Inside table was cramped for 4 people to dine. As an ex fire safety officer, I would recommend that escape is available via a first floor window, considering main egress is via the kitchen. Smoke/heat detection is good.

Negative: Top attic bedroom was impossible to move around unless on your knees due to sloping ceiling- the weather was hot during our stay and there was no method to cool it. A pedestal fan would have made a huge difference. Neither of the local numbers supplied were answered when I tried to call and neither number allowed me to text or leave a message. The dead plant in the rusty pot screwed to the wall by the front door made a bad first impression.
Summary: Good location for walkers, maybe best for couple and not for four in a hot spell.

Negative: Kitchen table rather cosy for 4 adults but weather was great and we are outside in the yard so not a problem.

Positive: Property has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Number of long walks around Hope Valley can be done from property. The bedrooms had a good view across Hope Valley to Win hill.

Positive: The cottage had everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. It was close to everything we wanted to do. Can highly recommend Ye Olde Bowling Green pub 3 doors down. Very convenient and pest Bakewell Pudding ever!
