Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the villa (21 sleeps) stands in panoramic position atop a hill offering a magnificent view of the Tuscan countryside stretching as far as the eye can see. It is a charming and authentic old manor House in a fabulous location away from the city. It lies in a quiet place at the centre of the triangle Florence, Pisa and Sienna, Central place in Tuscany to visit almost all its major cities and near many small, quaint villages with small road. The area it's also particularly attractive for the glorious blue skies, sun, smells of the country, food, wines and olive oil.
Within walking distance (800 meters) there is the little village of Montagnana where you can find the Post Office, a cafe, a good restaurant and a pizzeria; in the area there are some very good restaurants and pizzerias, with local dishes and and we are very glad to suggest you some of them. A supermarket and other shops in Montespertoli 4 km away. The villa lies on a hill around Montespertoli, 20 km from Central Florence; San Gimignano 25, Vinci and Certaldo 30; Siena and Volterra 50, Pisa and Lucca 60 and Arezzo 70. The 19th-century villa is surrounded by a wide fenced garden with a gated pool, furnished with sun loungers and sunshades, and barbecue ...equipment, for pleasant meals in the open air. In the past, the small chapel of the nearby monastery of the Calvane nuns stood on the estate. The chapel housed the painting called "Madonna della Neve" (Our Lady of the Snow), to which the building was dedicated. Numerous panoramic pathways stretch around the villa for guests to stroll or mountain bike on the gentle Tuscan hills. Tennis courts and two riding stables in the neighbourhood. The villa, whose entrance is decorated with two 17th-century statues representing two lions, is divided into five apartments, all furnished in the typical Tuscan style and it's rented all together. All the apartments are provided with satellite TV and Internet connexion and one of them is accessible to disabled people. Three apartments are housed in a building adjacent to the villa, an apartment is located in the villa and the last is a small outbuilding in the garden. The owner who lives in a separate wing of the house from the one dedicated to the guests, is often present and available to help who need information. Situated about 20 kilometres from the centre of Florence, the villa is an excellent starting point for trips to Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa and Volterra.
