Positive: We loved the proximity and easy access to the beach. The ability to self cater was great and it had all we needed in the kitchen to sort our meals while we were there. It was close to shops where we could buy food as well as a surf shop where we hired boards for a reasonable price. Our host Suzee was so welcoming and helpful! The house was comfortable, warm and full of light which was so nice considering the weather was not great. There was so much to do over our 3 day stay and hopefully we get back the sometime soon!

Negative: The weather was not great but still managed to get a surf in every day and sometimes twice a day. Brilliant surf beach!

Positive: The property is a one-off, set back from the main new Plymouth town In oakura. It meant that we could relax on a small town with views over the beach. The owners were very attentive, but left us with privacy after the initial introductions. The property is clean, decorated in a home away from home way that makes it very comfortable.

Negative: Nothing to do with the property as such, but beware the sandflies on the beach…. They are voracious and any bites take weeks to go.

Summary: A wonderful comfy home from home with warm and attentive hosts.., highly recommend
