Summary: We loved our stay at this impressive estate. Our family travelled around Ireland and for our last leg, wanted a location that would allow us to have great family time together while visiting various attractions without us having to relocate to a another home. We had an easy drive to Cork, Blarney, Cobh and Killarney. Our drive to Doolin to see the Cliffs of Mohr was our longest, but still was just over two hours one way. The property has amazing land for children to safely run and play. The house is so vast and provides much space for comfort and the amazing kitchen is fully stocked to prepare family meals. This was a very memorable stay for our family and Imelda and her family were lovely to deal with. We would highly recommend property and would stay again!

Summary: Imelda was such a wonderful host. She greeted us in person, gave us everything we needed to know about our stay, and treated us to a lovely snack and a bottle of wine. This was not simply a house to stay in, it was truly our home during our stay. Five stars!

Summary: Our family had a wonderful visit and it became our home away from home. We loved the property and Imelda was so lovely and gracious. It was within driving distance from all the places in West Ireland that we wanted to visit and was a great place to come home to at the end of the day. It is a large home with plenty of room for a family visit. Thank you so much for having us, Imelda!

Summary: We had a great time staying here, with plenty of room for our family of 9 and a near continuous round of card games around the dining room table. Imelda was lovely and couldn't have been nicer in welcoming us - it was the nice relaxing break we all needed.

Summary: Imelda Sheedy's place is fantastic. We were there for five nights -- with a family of nine (kids in their 20s and 30s, and one small child). It was great for all of us. Beautiful home, wonderful property, and Imelda met all our needs. Exceeded our expectations! We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The character and comfort of the Flemingstown house added so much to my family’s trip to Ireland! The space was comfortable, clean, and so quaint to relax. We had 11 people between my family and a few friends. We were all quite comfortable. In addition, Imelda was such a joy! She made sure all our needs were met and often brought wonderful scones for breakfast. She answered all of our questions and guided us to have a reasonable itinerary. The house is located in a great area to go in any direction to be charmed with Irish hospitality as well as stunning scenery. We highly recommend the Flemingstown House. I think our family will plan to return in a few years. We had a wonderful vacation!

Summary: We were a family of 12 travelling on holiday to Ireland and we found Imelda's lovely home. The house was amazing and suited all of our needs. We had transportation pick us up daily and take us on our day trips through the west and south of Ireland. Her home was a great location for this to happen. Imelda the owner is so friendly and so helpful. We truly had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend her home. Just a side note, her beds are very comfortable. We all slept well after our long touring days.

Summary: My wife and I and our family of ten enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home. The hospitality and sweetness of our host, Mrs. Imelda King, was unparalleled when compared to any other VRBO property we have stayed at thus far. It was a cold and windy day upon our arrival and the house was warm and inviting with a wood fire going in the living room. The house is situated on lovely grounds and ideally suited as a hub for our daily trips touring Ireland. We will never forget our stay here which was made all the more wonderful by Mrs. King and the best Irish scones on the island!

Summary: This Flemingstown House was a wonderful place to spend time with our son's family (son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter 8 and grandson 6), We all enjoyed being out in the country and the children so enjoyed the cows/bulls. Besides the house being spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. Ms. Imelda was a gracious hostess....she made our stay memorable...with a welcoming food spread the day we arrived, additional home baked scones, an apple tart and fire in the fireplace each evening though respecting our privacy. I wish I could have brought the kitchen home with me ... so spacious!! As is the rest of the house. I cannot recommend this house and hostess enough. Thank you Ms. Imelda for sharing your house with us and making our stay so enjoyable.

Summary: We couldn't have picked a better place. Imelda, our host, attended to every detail. Our party of six adults enjoyed the comfort of the fires (tended by Imelda), the inviting and well-appointed kitchen, each of the lovely rooms, the comfy beds, and the space to get away and have a quiet moment (either in a sunlit reading room, or out walking the grounds). The house was immaculate. The location was ideal for short trips to small and larger towns for restaurants, shopping, pubs, sightseeing or meeting locals. We attended a church service in an 851-year-old church (St. Mary's) not far away. Wow! We can't say enough nice things about how easy Imelda made the trip for us. From booking, to greeting us with basic provisions, to assisting with ideas for nearby adventures, Imelda was a gem. Never intrusive but always available, she was an ideal host who allowed us to feel like her home was actually ours for the entirety of our visit. It's a toss-up as to which was better, the home or the host! A++
