Ballymaigue has been beautifully decorated, it has a stunning kitchen diner that seats 10, three sitting rooms, 2 with TVs and a drawing room that is an elegant relaxing space. 4 of the bedrooms are ensuite, including one downstairs and the fifth bedroom has the bathroom next door to it, all have power showers and 3 have baths too. There is also a fully equipped utility room and a downstairs cloakroom.
Ballymaigue is approached by a tree lined avenue and sits on its own 2 acre site in which there is a walled garden all of which are ideal for children to play in as well as two terraces for outdoor dining and relaxing.
The house is perfect for families wanting to enjoy time together and days out at any of the family visitor sites. i.e Fota Wildlife Park, Bunratty Folk Park, Foynes Flying Boat Museum and many more that are also close by. Pretty Adare village is 15km away and has many historic churches and sites to visit as well as superb restaurants, pubs and cafe's. We are ideal for Golfers as we are close to excellent golf courses e.g. Adare , Ballybunion, Lahinch, Tralee and Doonbeg. Clonshire equestrian centre, the Ballyhoura mountains (biking, hiking and walking trails) and Limerick Greenway (biking and walking) are all within easy reach. Limerick Racecourse is also a 15 minute drive.
Shannon airport is a 35 minutes drive away and Cork airport 1.5 hrs.
At the end of a day of golfing, walking, riding or visiting, Ballymaigue is a perfect place to come back to and relax sitting in one of the sitting rooms or in the large garden watching the sun go down over Knockfierna mountain!

Summary: It is hard to describe the beauty of this home. From the scenic views, the lush garden, and the perfectly appointed house, every single aspect is stunning. It had everything we could have ever needed or wanted in a home away from home. We were honored to meet the hosts, and they showed us immense hospitality. They even brought over a bottle of champagne for my niece’s wedding day. I highly recommend this home and the hosts. It will be a stay that will far exceed your expectations.

Summary: We had the best time and didn’t want to leave. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The owner is very kind and quickly responded to communications and answered any questions as we prepared for our trip. We stayed in the house with a total of seven family members and had plenty of room. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The house is decorated beautifully. The kitchen is amazing. The children had plenty of room to run and play in the gardens. The exterior is covered in massive fragrant roses. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Ireland. Highly recommend!!

Summary: Beautiful home away from home. Can’t wait to return. The only problem is you won’t want leave house/property to sightsee. Fabulous hosts and hospitality.

Summary: This estate was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our large family. The kitchen was great with a huge dining table, Childs area was fantastic, the grounds were large and beautifully maintained. It was an absolute Irish paradise. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Summary: Stunning property! Even the beautiful photos do not do it justice! Our group of 9 enjoyed some fabulous outdoor dinners. Kitchen equipped with anything you could imagine would be in a country estate from french coffee press, espresso, juicer and an Aug to make pizza! Very comfortable beds and luxurious bed linens. Sunsets and full moon from the property were beyond belief! Both the house and grounds are meticulous and we were all amazed by the attention to detail. There was bacon, eggs, milk and juice in the fridge for our arrival and we loved Helen’s homemade molasses’s cookies! What a nice treat. She even came and took a group photo of all of us! We loved getting to meet her. :) This is a five star property and there is no doubt that it will not disappoint! Absolutely Perfect!

Summary: From the moment we checked in, it was wonderful.as we made the long drive, the door opened and Helen met us with her Ginger butter cookies(I need to get the recipie). We settled in to the chairs, overwhelmed by the beautiful view and the peace and calm that pervades Ballymaigue. In my experience pictures never do a place justice. Mostly, the pictures are better. In Ballymaigue, the pictures didn’t do it justice; Ballymaigue was better. As life is short, I don’t often think I’ll be back to many places, but, I will be back to Ballymaigue
