Summary: The house itself was large and fit our needs-a nice set up for a crowd. The neighborhood was nice. The issue was cleanliness. The house was very musty smelling when we arrived. The counter with the coffee maker was sticky with sugar. One of the bathtubs had hair in it and some hair on the floor in the corners. Rugs needed to be vacuumed. I was informed the vacuum had broken at the last cleaning and one had been ordered.The stairs and what was in the couches was more than a recent lack of a vacuum, especially the steps. They could have used shampooing. We purchased toilet paper and papertowels whille there. The furnishings were basic, which was fine. The living room furniture, however, needed to be replaced. Seats were breaking down and the back of one couch was broken. I emailed about some of the issues and one of the owners reached out after reading them. He was very apologetic, offered to reimburse us for toilet paper, and give a discount for future stays. There was also toiletpaper delivered the following night. I appreciate his thoughts, but will not rent it again when we come back to the area.

Summary: 1. The space was amazing - very spacious 2. "rough" looking, needs paint, a stale smell - someone has smoked in this property 3. Keypad not working. 4. Communication with owner not timely or responsive although eventually all questions answered. 5. Not very "homey" or "inviting"

Summary: GENERAL DESCRIPTION If you are looking for a clean house in a quiet neighborhood where a lot of people may stay overnight with good showers and comfortable beds - this definitely works. It is a large — albeit very basic — house that is most definitely a full-time rental property. PROs Very Clean Quiet neighborhood Roku TVs throughout the house — including big screen in the living room Great communication with manager Short 3-5 minute drive to every box store Comfortable beds Great water pressure in the showers Very roomy house over all — big rooms Washer and dryer are full-size and work well Water in house tastes good (I am a bit of a water snob) CONs Broken window/boarded up at front of house (damage from a previous renter — which we were not told about in advance) No landscaping - front and back yards are completely bare compared to neighbor houses No personality — just bare bones with sparse and random decor No hand towels, washcloths or dish towels, just paper towels everywhere. Lighting is all overhead (with no dimmers, just on or off) — so no place to read after dark There are closets in all the bedrooms but no dressers Minimal furniture throughout the house Living room furniture is very uncomfortable Kitchen has very few utensils (but plenty of cups and glasses) Very echo-y house due to a lot of hard floors/walls with very few soft materials to absorb sound

Summary: Old friends 50 plus reuniting for a concert at Hampton Coliseum. House was in great shape. Kitchen is big and plenty of beds. Not to mention 10 minute easy drive to the venue Definitely recommend this location Our host was very communicative and gracious

Summary: This trip was for a Celebration of Life for my husband who passed away a few month prior. The host was amazing and work with us to make this trip a success. The entire family was able to stay together since there was 5 bedrooms. The location was perfect. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Newport News area. It is centrally located to everything. Keleisha - thank you so much for opening your home to my family in this solemn time .
