The Wildflower Riverhouse is a riverfront home nestled in a secluded neighborhood minutes from downtown Cedar Falls.

The Space:
SLEEPING: 2 bedrooms, each with a king size bed, and a loft space with 2 twin beds.
BATHROOMS: 2 full bathrooms. Main level bathroom includes large soaking tub.
MAIN LEVEL: sunroom, living area w/ TV, kitchen, bedroom w/ TV, and bathroom.
LOFT: 2 twin beds and rec area w/ TV.
- The loft is open to the kitchen/front entry area and is not an enclosed room. A retractable baby gate has been installed at the top of the stairs for child safety. The loft is accessible by going up an open riser staircase.
LOWER LEVEL: living area w/ TV, bedroom, bathroom, workspace, exercise area, and laundry room.
ENTERTAINMENT:
- Kayak available for seasonal use and as weather allows
- Outdoor fire pit (wood can be purchased at local gas stations or grocery stores)
- Puzzles and games for adults and kids alike
- Roku-enabled smart TVs in each bedroom and living areas
HOUSE RULES:
- No smoking
- Quiet hours 10pm - 7am
- No party-like behavior, unregistered guests or gatherings without approval from hosts
GUEST ACCESS
Guests will be able to access the entire home except for a small storage closet in the basement attached to the laundry room and basement bedroom.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
As parents ourselves, child safety is incredibly important to us. The Riverhouse includes the following features for child safety:
- A retractable baby gate at the top of the stairs in the loft area.
- Child safety locks on both the main entrance and sliding glass door leading to the sunroom.
- You will notice an additional entrance to the lower level of the home, but we have restricted access to that entrance via locked doors inside the home.
- Life vests hanging in the lower level laundry/storage room.
- Baby gate available in the lower level hall closet to use as needed.
- An exterior camera is mounted on the back deck. It is used to monitor the water level on the river for safety.

Summary: This is a fantastic place for a family getaway! The house is great, well appointed, and very well kept. The view overlooking the Cedar River is mesmerizing with lots of wildlife and gorgeous sunsets. Cedar Falls is about five minutes away with lots of great shops and a variety of places to eat.

Summary: We needed a weekend getaway close to UNI to gather Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa families. It was a beautiful home full of everything we needed, including garage access for our car which came in handy during a storm.

Summary: Everything surpassed my expectations. The rooms are nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we wanted and more. The sun room overlooking the river was warm and beautiful and so relaxing to hang out in on some very cold days in late November. The host is ver responsive and pleasant to interact with.

Summary: Staying in this lovely space overlooking the Cedar River was one of the best VRBO experiences we have had. Meals on the deck with a gentle breeze, walks in the woods -- nature immersion with the fun of town just a step away. Summary: Such a pretty spot on a beautiful river. Enjoyed the house too. Really nice place to enjoy with friends with a beautiful porch that overlooks the river, nice kitchen, comfortable beds. Hope to go back someday!

Summary: Gave this stay to my parents as a gift. They said they loved sitting in the sunroom watching the river, and the layout of the house was unique and interesting. Hosts were very communicative. Only downside was how expensive it was. Unfortunately I didn't realize the fees were not all showing at first, but I think that may have been my fault. So glad a riverside spot was available, my dad loves rivers and they met in Cedar Falls, so it worked out nicely.
