Former location of the Matunuck Post Office from 1891-1903, this modern airy beach house was remodeled in 2015 from the studs, with great attention to detail, including leathered countertops throughout, sliding serving windows from the wet bar to the deck, pocket screen door, a large outdoor shower, while keeping the original staircase…just to name a few. Enter the first floor of the home from the large deck with a covered gazebo, the first floor of the home boasts a wet bar with serving windows, extensively furnished wrap around leathered granite countertop kitchen, spacious living room with comfy furniture, a queen size pull out sleeper, a queen size bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The second floor has 3 queen bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and laundry. The home is completely furnished with linens and towels, books, video and board games, guitar, TVs in each bedroom and living room, high speed internet, window AC in each bedroom, large deck with a covered gazebo and a separate patio fire pit, both with substantial seating, as well as beach chairs, beach carts and coolers. The property is mostly surrounded by beautiful primitive stone walls with mature trees, soft grass around the house area, with an extended side yard where you’ll find a relaxing platform swing and a slack line obstacle course for all ages/abilities among the mature trees. There is a vegetable and herb garden for your convenience, with crop dependent on conditions and useage.
Providence is 40 minutes away with the TF Green Airport 30 minutes away. This home is a short 1.9 miles (4 min drive) to East Matunuck Beach, one of the nicest beaches in New England, with a straight on view of Block Island and a long large rock jetty to climb on and watch the boats leaving Galilee (Block Island Ferry), and ideal for fishing. The Matunuck Oyster Bar is a 3 minute drive around the corner with other restaurants across the street and past the beach into Jerusalem, and the public park with basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields and a playground are just a short stroll away. Oh yeah, there’s also a 6 person hot tub and outdoor gas grilL, 2 fire pits and a large side yard with a slackline obstacle course for the kids...and adults. Summary: We came down to RI with family and friends to see my son perform in the URI marching band. This house was one of the most well appointed houses I have ever rented. It was clean, cozy, & comfortable. The owners have thought of everything from toilet paper to wood for the fire pit!! The house manual was well written with clear instructions especially for the hot tub, which was glorious after a long day. I would highly recommend this house and hope to return in the future.

Summary: This was the perfect home to spend time with extended family we don't get to see often. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us, especially with the outdoor space. The location was perfect as well. We hope we can do this again in the future.

Summary: We vacation yearly as a family, including children and grandchildren. This property has everything you can need and more. Having little boys, this yard makes relaxation easy. You are able to sit on the deck with family and watch the children run around and play. There are so many beach items and play things in the garage for them. The house is comfortable and lovely! Thank you!

Summary: We loved our stay here! The grounds are absolutely perfect for a family. A huge back yard with a fun swing and obstacle course! The deck furniture is under a large gazebo so we were able to enjoy even the rainy days outside. The inside of the house is beautifully updated. It was the perfect size for my husband and I, our two young children and extended family. The location of the house was very conveniently close to multiple beaches and restaurants! The owner Brian was also very quick and easy to communicate with throughout the stay.

Summary: We rented this house for my daughter’s graduation. What an awesome choice - fully equipped and very clean. The owner was amazing too. Super responsive. We were looking for a full length mirror and I asked if there was one in the house. There wasn’t - but the owner showed up in an hour and brought one to us! Very much appreciated. Would rent this property and from this owner again and again!

Summary: Our stay was wonderful. We have a girls weekend Once a year and we are always looking for the perfect home. This house was as close as we have come. We need at least two twin beds in one of the rooms as we are 6 adults and some like to sleep alone otherwise we would for sure be returning to this home every year. It had everything you could need for a perfect vacation right down to condiments and toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner. Makes packing a light job. This house gets an A++!
