An adorable and private cottage in downtown Nevada City - just a few minutes walk to the shops, galleries, cafes, bars, restaurants, and events of the charming and historic Nevada City. The Downtown Bungalow features a bedroom with a queen memory foam bed, flat screen HD TV, closet and chair. The bathroom includes organic shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion, plus a hairdryer and luxurious towels. The kitchen has a full set up including a coffee cone, coffee press, burr coffee grinder, juicer and all the appliances, pans, and dishes you need for your stay (a regular 12-cup coffeemaker is available by request.) A gas grill is on the patio. There is a dining area and lovely outdoor patio under a pergola for your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. We provide French coffee beans, tea, and sparkling water (+treats!) The Bungalow is a separate building on our property, with owner interaction at a minimum. There is private parking for one car. There is heat and AC (during warm months only) in the Bungalow, + a ceiling fan. Please note that the Bungalow is a small granny unit, appropriate for one person or a couple. The shower ceiling is on the low side!
Please note that we charge a 10% bed tax on our nightly rate (i.e. $14 for our standard $140 nightly fee). This is payable at the Bungalow at check-in. cash preferred. It is a hospitality tax that goes directly
to Nevada City.
The Bungalow is on a quiet street yet just a short downhill walk into lively downtown Nevada City. The property is beautifully landscaped and there is a seasonal creek running just outside the Bungalow. There are numerous hiking, biking, and running trails within walking distance from the property. The amazing Yuba River is a short drive away.

Summary: The space was very well appointed with lots of little extras like spices, soaps and lotions. The host knew it was our anniversary, and left us some snacks and drinks too! The rooms were small, but plenty of space for a couple. The only downside wasn't the fault of the property; It was pouring rain the whole weekend. There was a very nice outdoor space with a table, chairs and wonderful creek, but we couldn't use it due to the weather. Hope to go back when the weather is warmer!

Summary: My 11 yr old daughter and I stayed here for a short spring break getaway. It was really the perfect size, perfect location...not too big, not too small. Easy access to downtown, easy access to nature trails, easy access to Kathy, if needed. My daughter picked this bungalow for our stay and honestly, I might let her pick more of our vacation rentals!

Summary: On a beautiful street with a burbling creek a few feet away and only a few minutes walk to downtown Nevada City. Our host Kathy gifted us a very tasty bottle of wine and some snacks and chocolates as well as fresh flowers. The property was very quiet. The shower ceiling is on the low side. I'm 6'1" and I bonked my head a few times when using it. We had friends visit and we all sat outside next to the creek. It was very clean and I recommend staying there!

Summary: My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at Kathy's bungalow. It was the perfect size for two people, with a full kitchen and lovely bedroom/bath. It is located on a nice quiet street with a tranquil creek next to it. It was a great "home base" while exploring Nevada City, Grass Valley, and the surrounding area. Kathy made us feel right at home and went out of her way to make sure everything was to our liking (thanks also to Brett for assisting with the amenities). We highly recommend Kathy's place when you are in the area and look forward to staying again in the future. Thanks!

Summary: The bungalow was exactly as described: quaint, clean and comfortable. It’s in a lovely green setting with a babbling brook just steps away. We were greeted with fresh flowers and goodies, including little juices, chocolates and a small bottle of Chardonnay. Kathy was very responsive when we requested a traditional coffee maker (we are French press challenged!). And the little town of Nevada City is adorable and so charming. Overall, an absolutely delightful experience. An enthusiastic 5-stars to Kathy and the bungalow!.

Summary: This bungalow was perfect for a weekend getaway. Kathy did an amazing job at providing a private, cozy, clean and lovingly put together bungalow with no detail left undone. From the fresh flowers and hand written note to the generous snacks and treats, it was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Summary: This bungalow is so adorable and immaculate! It had everything we could possibly need and more. Kathy and Brett put so much thought into every detail. We were here for our 40th Anniversary and appreciated the short walk into town while the Victorian Christmas event was here.
