Positive: The hotel offered a beautiful view of the mountains and sea right from the balcony. Waking up to the sunrise was peaceful, and in the evening the sunsets were stunning. Breakfast was included and it was generous, fresh fruit, eggs made to order, pastries, freshly squeeze orange juice and good cappuccinos. It felt like a great way to start the day without having to leave the hotel. Dinner here at the restaurant was surprisingly good. The menu had a mix of dishes and the staff was very attentive. Portions were generous and the atmosphere was cozy enough to relax after a long day. Plus their wine was the cherry on top. No complains.

Positive: Very welcoming and warming place to stay! Charming and comfortable, and very generous, helpful staff. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner with homegrown produce and homemade wine. They were able to make vegetarian/ vegan options when asked. They also ask how you want your coffee and eggs in the morning:) A calm place, away from crowded tourism, but still a walking distance to the small town with cafes, bars and supermarkets. They had good recommendations for hiking trips, and alternative routes to the ocean.

He graciously showed us around the farm and offered us delightful cakes and coffee, a thoughtful gesture after our long journey from Rome. Later, we met Silvio, who treated us like family. His extensive knowledge of agriculture and food was truly captivating. I can honestly say I've visited many places in Italy, but I’ve never tasted food as fresh and delicious as what we enjoyed here. The family takes great pride in their produce and cooking, and it shows. Each evening, we indulged in a variety of starters, while the main courses were nothing short of heavenly— good portions at remarkably reasonable prices. Each morning at breakfast, Anna took wonderful care of us, consistently serving up delicious omelettes. Both Anna and Pasquale are truly exceptional chefs, and their culinary talents are a tremendous asset to Agriturismo Mare e Monti. The food was the most amazing we had during the whole trip, not to mention the very kind way in which Silvio and Anna always made us feel welcome. Positive: Silvio and his family made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and provided great information on local services, walks and places to visit. The property is in a lovely quiet rural setting with beautiful sea views, but also easily accessible to the Amalfi coast and the surrounding villages by bus or car. The accommodation is modern and wonderfully clean and fresh. There is an extensive range of foods for breakfast and a wonderful evening meal menu. All food was either from Silvio's own farm or locally sourced and beautifully prepared by his brother and sister in their spotless kitchen. A wonderful, welcoming, family run and relaxing place to stay!

Positive: As a couple wanting a few days away from it all with some walking thrown in, Agriturismo Mare e Monti was perfect. Our accommodation was immediately upgraded by Silvio on arrival & we were greeted with wine when he learned it was my birthday week, which was the first of many genuine hospitality gestures throughout the week. Breakfast was included comprising food from the farm (antipasti, cheeses, Anna's amazing home baked cakes) with fresh orange juice. Dinner is optional from €20 per head, again all home grown or local organic produce & delicious. We especially enjoyed the house starter / sharing platter & Anna's fabulous pasta dishes! The location is high in the hills above Amalfi, about 5km from Bomerano & about 15 minutes walking from Agerola, the nearest small town which has a tabacchi, restaurants & a mini supermarket. We hired a car & there is plenty of free parking on site but be warned that driving is slow going on the Amalfi coast & not for the faint-hearted! We also used the buses extensively which are reasonably priced & frequent enough, but be prepared to stand your ground for the later buses in Amalfi as there are no queues. Accepting that we were upgraded, the accommodation costs were very reasonable. The room was beautiful, spacious, modern, functional & spotlessly clean. The big, hot shower was welcome in walking days. Overall, we had a brilliant week exploring this lovely part of Italy that was new to us. Our host Silvio made us very much part of his family for whom nothing was too much trouble & Agriturismo Mare e Monti has become our home away from home. The rest of the family team also deserve a mention in addition to Anna, Silvio's wonderful chef & sister. These were his young nephews & nieces Magdalena, Emiglia, Alberto & Salvatore. Our sincere thanks to you all. We are already looking at our return trip!
