3 Bedroom House in Peaks Island, Portland

This is a brand new home (very rare for a peaks island rental) and could very well have the best view of a property on the island.
This newly constructed modern open concept home features 3 bedrooms with 3 full baths, granite countertops, hardwood floors, gas fireplace, air conditioning (a rarity on peaks island!), washer/dryer, two decks, and the best panoramic view on the island!
Bookings are Sat - Sat. Between June 15 and Aug 31 (WEEKLY BOOKINGS ONLY!!! ) Weekends considered between those dates if within 1 month of start of occupancy. Inquire of Owner (rates for on peak weekends if approved may be different than the posted rate).
NO PETS ALLOWED
*LINENS: If you wish to rent linens, please let me know They are available through our cleaning service. We do not mark up the price, but just offer this as a service for our guests: The rates are for the duration of your stay: flat rate of $160 for your stay.
These prices are cheaper than local rentals and the beds will be made before your stay and stripped for you at the end.
When you walk through the front door you would be taken by the beautiful open concept kitchen/living room, but your eye is immediately drawn to the panoramic view from the living room windows. Just off the living room is a covered deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee with an unobstructed view of the sunrise and a panoramic view up and down the rocky coastline. Could very well be the best house in the best location on the island!
The Bedrooms:
The 1st floor has one bedroom with a twin size bed and an attached bathroom which can be locked off to provide a private bath. The 2nd floor has a Master Bedroom suite, with a walk in shower and walk in closet, with even a better panoramic ocean view!! An open private deck lies just through the sliding glass doors where you will feel the ocean breeze and hear the crash of the waves.
The 3rd bedroom has a full size bed and full size closet, with a full bathroom just outside the door.
The 2nd floor also has a washer/dryer.
Peaks island is a 15 minute ferry from Portland, where you can experience a beautiful seaside town with a wide variety of great restaurants and activities. The island offers exceptional walking, jogging, horse riding, tennis, swimming and relaxing with a wild bird preserve, a social club for activities, little shops, grocery store and restaurants. You can easily walk to everything.
Amenities: wifi, gas grill, 55" flat panel LCD TV, cable TV, a microwave, full-size oven range, toaster, Keurig coffee-maker, all cooking and baking utensils you would need including a lobster pot, In addition to the 2 decks, there is a patio for entertaining where you can sit, eat, drink and be merry while you watch the waves crash onto the rocky coastline, and feel the cool ocean breeze. The driveway has parking for easily 3-4 cars.
Things you'll find stocked at the cottage: propane for the gas grill, bedspreads and pillows (BATH TOWELS, BLANKETS AND LINENS ARE NOT INCLUDED, BUT ARE AVAILABLE FOR RENT)*, the tools to make a lobster dinner, cleaning supplies, lanterns, paper towels, full set of dinnerware, cups, mugs, etc., grill tools, family games. Please note you will need to bring your own bed sheets and towels.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay. Peak's Island is the best of both worlds in that it offers all the charm of any small Maine island but also has easy access to the city of Portland. The view was fantastic-waves crashing into the rocks-can't beat it. Gino was incredibly accommodating and was quick to answer any questions that we had. We hope to come back!

Summary: We had a fabulous week. The home was well situated with amazing views and access to the ocean. Enjoyed tide pooling and swimming very much. It offered basic amenities but had every thing we needed. Washer/ dryer was a big plus.

Summary: I don't even know where to begin. This place is perfect! I literally cried when we left. The cottage is precious! The island is awesome! People were extremely kind everywhere we went. My husband and I were coming to Maine to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had planned on 3 nights at this lovely home and then going further north for 3 more nights ( not long enough at either place!) We were scheduled to arrive at 2pm and reach Peaks Isand by about 3:00 or 4:00. Well, American Airlines had different plans for us (that will be a completely different kind of review!!) We ended up missing our flight due to the airlines obvious understaffing! (We were at the airport three hours prior to takeoff!) Not only did they make us and several hundreds of others miss their morning flights, but they sent our bags to Charleston!! Our bags were not due to the airport in Portland until nearly midnight that night! Well, the ferry stops running to Peaks Island at 10:30! I emailed Gino and told him that we weren't going to get to the cottage until the following morning. Gino offered several solutions and even sent me links to water taxis that would take us to the island at that hour. We opted to get a hotel because we were completely drained and we're excited to see peaks for the first time in daylight and with fresh eyes! Anytime I ever reached out to Gino, he replied within minutes to an hour. But here's the biggie! Even though he had nothing to do with our late arrival, he and his wife offered us an extra night at this lovely little home! Oh...we were so tempted! But, we had other reservations and plans. But how nice was that??? The hospitality and generosity was amazing!! The house is quaint and comfortable! Views from everywhere! The view from backyard is absolutely something straight out of a movie or something you've read about! We loved every single minute being in that home and Peaks Island! My husband and I made a promise to each other to return next year and choose this same cottage! We may even bring our kids. Plenty of space for 6 or even up to 8! Place for everyone to sleep! Beds were comfy! I have zero complaints about this rental!! Thank you Gino! You will be hearing from us again. I'm already putting plans in motion for next year! PEOPLE....DO NOT HESITATE ON THIS RENTAL!! Just don't rent it when we want it next summer! 😜

Summary: Our hosts were great, the house and property were perfect, and the views were amazing. We had cold and stormy weather for a few days, but with those views and a hot wood stove it was just the relaxing getaway we needed. Gino was also one of the best hosts we've had.
