Positive: Our stay at Amboseli Cultural Camping near the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro was absolutely fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. What was meant to be a one-night stay turned into two nights because we simply didn’t want to leave. The views of Kilimanjaro were spectacular, both from the accommodation and during the activities, it was truly breathtaking to wake up to such scenery. One of the highlights was the motorbike safari in the conservancy outside Amboseli Park. Riding through the landscape while seeing so many animals up close was an unforgettable experience, topped off perfectly with an incredible sundowner in the wild. We also did a cultural tour to a Maasai village, which was very informative, and deeply enriching. The hospitality was outstanding; the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well set within the natural surroundings, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend Amboseli Cultural Camping to anyone seeking adventure, culture, and stunning views in a truly special location.

Positive: Our time in Amboseli was absolutely fantastic, The staff were so friendly and kind, always going out of their way to help. They even had a lovely fire going for us each evening. The local food was delicious, and oh man, the view of Kilimanjaro? We couldn't have asked for more. We'd go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend

Positive: I was looking for a place that would give me a great view of Kilimanjaro right from the premise. When I found this little place I knew this was it. I stayed here for almost a week and right from my garden - and even from my little cottage when I opened the curtains - I had a mindblowing front row view of one of the most spectacular mountains in the world. Just for this, my stay here was already a success. But I ended up loving everything else as well. A friendly driver Sam drove me out there all the way from Nairobi and we had a lot of fun talks. Once at the camp, I felt immediately at home. I had often heard a lot of postive things mentioned about the host Brian in reviews before I left and I'm happy to agree that he is the best. He made my whole stay a wonderful experience. Together we had great talks and fun adventures in Amboseli. I tried nearly all of the tours and they were great. From a bush walk with Brian where we spotted giraffe, to a great hike we did through the forrest. Then there was a fantastic safari through Amboseli NP with Manuel, where within 5 minutes I already witnessed the iconic view of elephants in front of Kilimanjaro. Shoutout to little Sam, who went with Brian and myself on a mountainbike ride that ended up being quite the adventure. Speaking of adventures, Benson took me on a motorbike safari and we ended up finding wild elephants, it was magical. The camp was a bit secluded, but it was not problem, because I had a different and delicous breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared for me daily by the amazing cook Sam. Yes, that is the third Sam I encountered here and they were all great :) I can go on and on about this place, but suffice to say they helped me create beautiful memories that I will never forget! Highly recommended if you want a more authentic experience that you might not get in the more luxurious high-end resorts I think.

Negative: I have none really. Well maybe that there was no airco, but to be honest no other place I looked into had it either and I visited when there was a heatwave, so I think normally it's not that big of a problem. At night the temperature cools of a lot anyway and Brian provided me with a pretty good fan.

Summary: Great people, great experiences, great food and an amazing view.

Positive: I recently stayed at Amboseli Cultural Camping with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience! The highlight was definitely the stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro, which we had from our room — you can't get a better backdrop for sunset. We had a great drive guide in the park and all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was also a standout, with delicious, freshly prepared meals. We originally booked two days but ended up extending our stay for an extra day because we just didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Amboseli.

Positive: We were really happy that we stayed 3 nights instead of just making this a stop-over for Amboseli as Brian and his team made this such a special experience. We got delicious breakfast and dinner by Brian every day, who was so kind to accomodate all our wishes. Every night they lit up the fire for us, so that we could warm up before heading to bed and we even had hot water showers the entire time. We really felt taken care of! The motorbike-safari that Brian organized for us was one of the best experiences we had on our trip and waking up and having coffee in front of the Kilimandjaro was just beautiful. We want to thank you again Brian!

Negative: We had some trouble finding the place, so a sign at the street or a detailed description would be helpful.

Positive: The studio we’ve booked has insane view on the Kilimanjaro if you’re lucky (esp. early in the morning) It is very spacious and full of light Communication with Brian was excellent We also enjoyed the food which was healthy and big enough to satisfy everyone. Compare to other places we’ve stayed in, this was above the standard Game drive to the NP Amboseli was worth it, you’ll see mostly a lot of elephants and zebras there. Just go with the bigger land cruiser with windows, as the roads in Amboseli are very dusty Big plus is also a new swimming pool It is located in a remote area, so you are away from the rush in the city, nobody will bother you there

Negative: The drive to NP is 30-45min Some things in the studio would deserve a better maintenance. But it didn’t affect our stay, therefore I’m not lowering the rating.
