Summary: Very Nice and clean flat with a peaceful outside to enjoy the Sun. The train station is 10 minutes walking and there are shops arround to buy good good. We recommand 👍

Summary: We're US tourists. Rented a car from AMS airport. Easy drive to Castricum. Private parking. Lovely condo. Fully furnished and equipped. Convenient for beach, tulips and windmills drive. Train to Amsterdam Center is a 10 minute walk..way better than driving and having a car in Amsterdam. Jos is a wonderful host. We'll be back for sure, if we're lucky enough for it to be available.

Summary: This a great place to stay. Quality finish. Close to train station. 25 min to amsterdam central. Loved the quite country town feel. Don't forget to bring your own towels though. Cutlery was a little hard to find. Hidden drawer under the cook top.

Summary: This well designed, comfortable one bedroom apartment is in the perfect location for visiting many parts of the Netherlands without the hassle of being in a large city. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station, we were able to visit Amsterdam with only a 25 minute train ride and no hassles trying to find a place to park. The apartment does have parking available, so with our rental car, we were able to make several day trips for sightseeing, i.e. Rotterdam, Delft, Marken, Haarlem, the Hague, Kinderdijk, Edam, etc.. When the weather is good, there is a large private patio that is great for relaxing with your favorite beer or a glass of wine.The owners live in the attached home and are very helpful. Just a day before arriving, I developed a tooth ache and when we arrived, Jos had already scheduled a dentist appointment for me with his own dentist. (Root canal - no fun). The apartment is in the town of Castricum which has everything you might need - and you can walk everywhere if you are so inclined. Save yourself the headache of Amsterdam crowds and prices and make this apartment your home base during your visit.

Summary: We went 2 persons to the Netherlands in april, and had 5 nights in Castricum. We were well informed about the apartment and location before arrival, and Jos was flexible when we should find a time to pick up the key. The apartment is clean, new, modern, and cosy. We were welcomed with a bottle of white wine. Allthogh the apartment was an annex to another building, there was still privacy. Especially the terrace was lovely in the afternoon. The kitchen was low in terms of dinner plates and cutlery, but not at problem if you bring your own. All other commonly used kitchen utensils was avaliable. The apartment is close to the train station, and it takes 26 minutes to Amsterdam. Very easy to get there, or to other part of the Netherlands by car. In all, Jos places is very recomenable, if you want a nice place to stay during your vacation in the Netherlands. Iben and Anders
