Positive: Eric and his family are genuinely some of the nicest people I have ever met. Just the perfect hosts. And their mother’s cooking is fabulous. I felt like family. The rooms and guesthouse are excellent value and very well located.

Positive: Great staff. Very helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much for them. Solid advice for local tours and bookings etc. A family business that makes you feel very at ease.

Negative: WiFi was slow for working online, and the neighbours dogs bark might wake you once or twice but not every night. Would recommend the higher floor if you're sensitive of hearing.

Positive: We had a perfect stay at Angkor Ruby guesthouse. The owners were extremely friendly and helped us out way more than they had any reason to do. They went above and beyond to help us in anyway they could. When we arrived, we asked whether there was a fridge and an electric kettle (something that upon closer looking, was not mentioned to be part of the room) and while it was not a part of the room, they still brought both to our room, without any extra charge. They also took time out of their day to make conversation with us, which we greatly appreciated. The beds in the room were comfortable and we had plenty of space to store our luggage. The hostel is also located very conveniently. We had supermarkets within walking distance, the city center was either a short tuktuk ride or a 15 minute walk away. We'd definitely stay here again if we had the chance.

Negative: Nothing that is really worth mentioning, so take this with a grain of salt: the hostel and the rooms are a bit on the older side. They are fixing up the place little by little, but it's not a modern or luxurious place, but considering the price point and the effort they took to accomodate us, this is only worth mentioning so people know not to expect a 4-star hotel. It's a hostel and a good one at that.
