Positive: We chose Anima for our honeymoon, and it was simply perfect – the stay exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation was spotless and cozy, with attentive housekeeping and staff who went above and beyond to help with anything, even arranging mosquito repellent at short notice. The team were incredibly warm and welcoming, sharing fantastic local tips we would never have found ourselves. The peaceful location stole our hearts, yet there were plenty of nearby places to explore. Meals were fresh, varied, and delicious, with the option to try traditional dishes. The kitchen happily adapted to our preferences and allergies, and even adjusted mealtimes when we were out on excursions. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-like, made even more special by the four adorable dogs who instantly won us over. With no other guests during our stay, it felt like our own private retreat. We can’t recommend it enough – and be sure to try the massage and other services Anima offers.

Positive: The breakfast was made fresh every day with local ingredients – it was very nice. Anima Retreat Bali is in a quiet location in the heart of a local community. Staying here gives you the perfect opportunity to explore the whole island. We would recommend staying here if you are looking to unwind, recharge your batteries and have an amazing Bali experience.
Negative: A minor point, some hanging space for clothes in the bedroom would have been good.

Positive: I have no words about how amazing was staying in Anima. The first thing were resorts owners and the other people, who were here too - everyone were very kind, helpful and amazing people. Thank you for every tips, services and favors that you gave us. The second thing was that amazing calm and peace atmosphere here. If you need some rest and learn how to relax, this is the best place for you. The other thing is cooking - every day you get three typical Balinese’s meals cook only just for you (and every meal was very delicious! So thank you that very talented young girl, who was making it every day for us). I wanted to try some type of Balinese’s yoga what you can find here on the list of possible activities. And I can just say - with Rani it was very breathtaking experience. We have no negativities about accommodation, you get your own beautiful house with amazing bathroom and everything you can see on the pictures here looks like on the real the same (+ everyday cleaning was great). The location is just a little bit far away from the cities, but if you want to get some ride, you can just ask Rani or Sebastian and they will manage car with driver for you. They were really amazing and I hope that I will meet them sometimes again.
Negative: You can’t pay by card. They accept just PayPal or rupia in cash (no dollars) for supplementary services.

Positive: Everything. The location was absolutely perfect - surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the jungle, Anima is the perfect place to switch off, relax and reconnect with nature. The design of the property is fantastic with 5 beautiful buildings for visitors to stay and a fantastic communal dining space looking out onto one of two amazing swimming pools. The gardens are wonderfully vibrant and superbly kept filled with beautiful tropical plants and for on-site activities such as yoga, mediation and massage there are separate spaces which are tranquil and beautifully designed. But most of all there’s the wonderful hospitality from Sebastien and Rani and their amazing team of staff (and of course their delightful and dedicated team of dog helpers, especially Thor!). My partner Eve and I spent a perfect 8 days there and our only regret was not booking for longer.
Negative: There is nothing not to like. It’s absolutely wonderful.

Positive: The moment we arrived we were greeted by Sebastian and Rani, such a warm friendly couple that made us feel welcomed and part of the Anima family straight away. We loved the accomodation, the fact there are only 5 villas nicely spread out in the grounds, the sounds of nature all around us was amazing. We loved that everyone shared one big table at mealtimes so we all got to know each other. There is no pressure or hassle to do anything - if you chose to relax that’s fine, if you want to do yoga or meditation or massages it’s there waiting for you. A beautifully relaxing holiday in an idyllic setting with amazing hosts and 6 friendly dogs - what more could you ask for.
