Summary: The Machrie always had the potential to be a top class hotel. This was my fourth visit and there has been a marked improvement which I put down to the management of the hotel provided by Another Place. Organisation, service and customer focus have all made great strides. This has moved The Machrie from having the potential to being a first class experience

Summary: Such a beautiful hotel and staff were always approachable and pleasant. Hotel very clean and tidy. Loved the board with all the activities and information about the island at reception, great idea. I found the restaurant very expensive, also we were unable to get 2 different cocktails of the menu during the 3 days we were there, because they had no pineapple juice and also no rosé wine which was disappointing.

Summary: Our room was beautifully appointed. Large comfortable bed, lovely soft fluffy towels and all the little extras you could wish for.

Summary: Absolutely gorgeous spot to stay and felt so private. The food was top notch as was the staff. And the balcony of the restaurant was perfect to watch the sunset over the bay each night. Im not a golfer but the beautiful course makes me want to learn to play. Thanks, Shane Hoskins
