Positive: Spacious but basic rooms with outside area where you can often see hummingbirds. Close to bus station and the town and opposite a big supermarket.

Positive: The apartment was good value for money, clean and equipped with a large fridge, gas hob and drip coffee maker. There are just four apartments, so nice and peaceful. It was really close to all the facilities: the bus station, large supermarket and national park. Although it was on the main road, it was set back well enough that the sounds were all natural: birds, frogs, howler monkeys. Behind the apartment we saw lots of colourful birds and iguanas. Cahuita is amazing - the variety and ease of seeing the wildlife is brilliant. Many people said it was their favourite place in Costa Rica.

Negative: The bed was really uncomfortable: limited cushioning for the springs and polyester type sheets. We didn't sleep well. The gaps between the walls and roof which we'd seen other places fill with coving let some bugs in, but it wasn't a real issue. There weren't too many mosquitos. The son of the host met us and explained everything but there wasn't much of a feeling of welcome - no soap beyond the liquid soap in the sink, old smelly scrubber for the dishes. Our next accommodation had provided some tea and coffee and these touches are always appreciated. The lack of a garden. Overall it was fair value for money

Positive: Nice small place. Quite, good location, close like 1 minute walk to big supermaket, 3 minute to the bus terminal, 15 minutes to the National Park enterence.

Positive: Very clean and large room. It is basic but it has all you need : refrigerator, cooker, saucepans and utensils. Efficient ceiling fan, rather than standalone floor fan. Also an excellent location a few minutes from the bus station and a short walk to town centre with it's bars and restaurants and also the National Park.

Negative: It was difficult to find because, amazingly there is no SIGN at all outside. Even a hand written one would have been sufficient. The location on the map is accurate, but it took a helpful local to make a phone call for me. I have included pictures of the outside to help anyone else who stays there.
