Positive: Location, basicaly just that.

Negative: Access to the apartment is challenging due to the steep stairs. While the host was very kind and even helped with one of our suitcases, the stairs make it difficult to get in and out. The apartment itself is quite noisy, which could be an issue for light sleepers, and it shows signs of age, with renovations needed. Additionally, the cleanliness was below standard; we had to wash the kitchen tableware ourselves as it was not properly cleaned.

Summary: Good location, poor conditions.

Positive: Appartment is conveniently located, close to Metro and walking distance Gare du Nord.

Negative: We had rented two appartments. One was in the second floor, facing a very narrow, stuffy backyard. Appartment was hot and stuffy (even though it was not extremely hot outside), but we could not air it: several airconditioning systems from adjacent food places are placed in the backyard. Opening the windows meant getting a hell of a noise from the airco and food smell. Thus, you cannot air the place.

Positive: The location to everything we wanted to see was great! Getting in to the apartment so late was very much appreciated. We were a family of four who had room to sleep & get ready for our days vacationing.

Negative: The spiral staircase to the third floor was a bit of a challenge with the luggage but nothing we couldn’t handle.

Positive: We travelled with our baby and the staff members were SUPER nice and helpful. The apartment was bigger than we expected and very clean. The apartments are quite centrally located, specially if you're arriving to the North Station (or the airport). They're easy to reach from the city centre too. Around the house there are supermarkets, shops and restaurants of all kinds, as well as convenience stores open until late.

Negative: The stairs are a bit narrow, but that's common in Brussels.
