Positive: by far our favorite ryokan, building was beautiful, staff was friendly and the food was amazing. right on the water with a beautiful view of the ocean, sunsets, and night sky.

Positive: Great location with sea view and in-room onsen; Breakfast and dinner were exceptional with generous portions

Negative: Arrived at the ryokan in the evening and the coastal wind was very strong, to the point that it slammed my opened car door into the car parked next to me. Small incident but it did mar my experience and it would be good to have been warned earlier about the windy condition (there was a sign at the front desk but it was too late for me); Sleeping on futons was not so comfortable

Positive: The food was AMAZING for the price and generally seafood-centered, and the service was really fantastic and heart-warming, they were really willing to use translator apps for us too. Very good views and a nice relaxing onsen experience.

Negative: The futons were extremely thin and uncomfortable.

Summary: This is a very traditional place, absolutely fantastic seafood and service but very thin futons.

Positive: the private onsen was great, food for dinner and breakfast is good too, one of our family does not eat raw food and they can cater for that.

Negative: the public onsen was smaller than expected

Positive: It was nice being beside the beach. The sunset was beautiful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious if you like seafood. The fresh abalone and sashimi were the highlights of dinner! The room is cleverly designed with screens for privacy when using the private bath on the balcony.

Negative: Wish there were options that were not seafood for my non seafood loving kids.

Summary: Had a great relaxing stay for our family of 4.
