Summary: Ash lodge was a pleasant stay, it was clean, had all facilities that was needed. Could do with updating the interior as it’s looking worn/dark. The pub (Whistlefield Inn) was closed which was a disappointment, however there are some lovely pub/restaurants a short drive away. Overall, we had a pleasant stay but found it a bit too isolated for what we’re used to.

Summary: Loch Eck side is in a beautiful area. Ash Lodge and Park have some superb views. The Loch side road is surprisingly busy so expect some traffic noise (not excessive though). The only negative on the accommodation is the decking outside the front door which feels springy and may be reaching end-of-life. The inside of the Lodge was clean and functional. I would definitely stay there again if there were no room at the Whistlefield Inn.

Summary: Lodge was great however the shower wasn't working, no hot water. We raised the issue with the property manager and to his credit he responded very quickly can came to the property to see if he could fix the issue. He couldn't but after a few calls advised that someone would be arriving to fix the problem and we would be contacted. We never received any call or update so decided to cut our holiday short and leave. The bathroom sink also started to leak which restricted where we could wash. Its been nearly a week since we left and still no correspondence, poor customer service.

Summary: We stayed in Ash Lodge for a short break in July, with our little dog. The site is tucked away and although there are other lodges around, it's not like the bigger places where they can all feel on top of each other. The chalet was spotlessly clean, with a well equipped kitchen, good shower and very comfy bed. Nice private garden area and veranda which isn't overlooked...except by the wide variety of birds visiting the feeders! The road is nearby but not too busy and is well screened by trees - you don't hear any noise inside. The decor may be a little dated but it's perfectly comfortable and well situated for exploring the area. Two minute walk to the Whistlefield Inn, which has a lovely bar and great food. Booking was easy and arrival instructions clear. Overall, a little gem which offers great value.

Summary: We stayed at Ash Lodge for a week at the end of May. It helped that the weather was fantastic but aside from that it was the best week. The bed is very comfy, good shower facilities and the kitchen has everything you need to prep and cook meals. Lodge is basic and "no frills" but for the cost I think it is great value for money. Personally we weren't there to sned 24/7 inside - we were out and about all day every day. The lodge is in a great location for walks and the views across the Loch are spectacular. We have booked again for October.

Summary: Really enjoyed our stay. Cosy and comfortable. Everything that you need for your holiday. A few very minor issues that have already been highlighted to the owner hence the score of 4 instead of 5. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: Not the first time we've stayed here and won't be the last. Fabulous location in a beautiful part of Argyll. The lodge is a perfect size for two and their pets. The wild birds visiting the feeding area outside the window was an added bonus. Friendly hosts Chris and Maggie made sure all was well. A suggestion for improvement would be for a washing machine in the kitchen instead of a dishwasher.

Summary: We stayed at Ash Lodge for 10 nights and would definitely recommend it. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival - the lodge was very clean, well maintained and some basic items were provided such as soap, shower gel, washing up liquid etc. There were plenty of towels, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen has everythig you could need. The only downside is that due to the position of the lodge with all the windows facing towards the trees, it is a bit dark inside. However, the benefit of this is privacy - when you are in the livingroom or sitting on the deck you are not overlooked. There are a few shops and supermarkets reachable by car as well as plenty of pubs and restaurants, and also one pub at close walking distance open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very good value for money!
