Summary: We have just had a fantastic stay at this beautiful little cabin right opposite Lovh Eck. The cabin itself was really cosy and very clean on arrival. The views were simply breathtaking and we enjoyed sitting out on the decking when the weather permitted us to! The cabin would however benefit from a small canopy to sit under when it is raining as we noticed several others had this feature. Good shower and loved the jacuzzi bath. Midges were abit of a pest due to being so close to the Loch but the cabin has a midge lamp and a fan which helped keep them away. There is a delightful pub about 200 yards from the site which has recently been renovated and we visited several times and really enjoyed. All in all a really lovely stay and one we will remember. Hope to return some time next year

Summary: We have had a fantastic week at Whistlefield Lodges. The highlight of our week as been Pucks Glen and Benmore Botanical Gardens. However we have also enjoyed spending time in Dunoon and going to the Kirn Gala. We will definitely be back again as there is still so much we could do. On our next visit we will definitely be visiting Hollow Mountain. The lodge was in a beautiful location and very peaceful. The week has gone too fast!

Summary: The cottage had everything we needed. It was just big enough, well-equipped in the kitchen and the bathroom (sauna & jacuzzi!) and had good beds. The veranda was nice and sunny (well.. Sometimes.. It is Scotland) but unfortunately the midges prevented us from sitting outside. The area is wonderful with lots to do and see. Would definitely book again!

Summary: Yes better than expected and great value too. Owner and caretaker very helpful before and during the let, the fruit loaf and other extras very appreciated. The whistlefield Inn is open again, pucks glen and the benmore gardens are a must. Will definitely return and recommend, though got lucky this time with late availability so book in advance next time.

Summary: Great log cabin. Everything you need for your stay. Condiments and cleaning products in the cabin. Iron and ironing board. Sky tv channels. Even a home baked cake on your arrival and your cabin all warm and cosy for you. Only thing you need is your food and towels. . Great views, great walks for the dogs . Great correspondence with owner and the lovely people who look after the cabin Elspeth and Ian are fab. Nothing is a bother to them , they are always there for you and made us feel very welcome. Whistlefield inn hotel only a few steps away from cabin for food and drinks. Dunoon is only about 20 mins drive away. Various places of interest right on your doorstep. Will most certainly return again soon. Bring a torch if going out at night as its quite dark. We had lovely meals made in our cabin and enjoyed the quiet peacefull setting . Felt really private and safe.

Summary: I have been to a few Log Cabins in the last few months but i found whistle field to be very comfortable the bed and the sitting area were both very good i certainly would return next year good location for going sightseeing plenty of places to go we went to Puks Glen the Botanic Gardens and got the ferry over to Bute in all we had a great time looking forward to next year,
