Positive: Its a nice property where renovations have been well done. Room was quiet with a view of a courtyard garden - not an issue.

Negative: Driving from Calais is a fairly long trip and we estimated arrival time at 4pm onwards. Shocking to arrive at 3.35pm and can't get in - big entry gates are locked. Intercom person said come back at 4pm. I owned a hotel for several years and we never/ever did that to anyone- we said yes park your car in our car park and we will check you in early if the room is ready. In similar vein we gave our breakfast order at check in and time for breakfast - disappointing that when we came down at 9.10am for 9am the cooked part of the breakfast had already been cooked - so going cold - why not prepare everything else then cook eggs or anything hot when the guest arrives. Unprofessional. Similarly the small bar area was said to be fully available to residents but at 8.30pm there was nobody around and we gave up trying and went to the local bar/restaurant over the road which was very pleasant
