The Estate is surrounded by lush gardens and has a 100 year old Oak tree in the front yard which is wonderful to enjoy from the porch. It was built by the famous Storyville Madam Josie Arlington in 1870. There are planters with fresh herbs and vegetables for you to pick. In the mornings you can head out to the chicken coop in the bamboo courtyard and get fresh eggs.
The Estate consists of the 5 bedroom Villa main house which sleeps 10 people or more depending on your needs. The Villa main house itself is gorgeous with some of the most renowned crown molding in the city. The Estate boasts beautiful high ceiling, arches in the ballroom, a piano and a chef's kitchen, a pool and a southern front porch with rockers. The entire compound is decorated and furnished with a perfectly curated eclectic flair with the esthetic mix of modern-industrial-chic touches, along with lovely pops of color in all the right places; high ceilings with exposed beams, reclaimed hardwood flooring or original, vintage lighting, lovely porches and a delightful ambiance throughout; including Eames chairs, leather cigar chairs, vintage wrought-iron beds and fabulous collectible antiques. Guests can enjoy gathering and entertaining in a ballroom, two delightful living rooms, the pool area or the fully equipped kitchen’s with new stainless-steel appliances. In addition there are multiple flat-screen TVs with Netflix and high-speed internet. All linens and toiletries are included for guests.

Summary: We were in town for a 50th birthday celebration. We rented both the main house and the home in the rear of the property. There were 13 of us staying on property. One night, we had about 50 people at the house for drinks. We were all comfortable with room to spare. Booking was simple and the owner was easy to reach and answered all of our pre-arrival questions. The owner even let a couple of our guest arrive a little early to accommodate them. Thank you. The property itself is stunning. It is what you think of when you close your eyes an imagine New Orleans; vintage, full of character, opulent. But it also manages to be very comfortable. Since we returned, people have asked me about the house after seeing our pictures. It is not luxurious like a home you might find in Malibu or Miami. Those homes would not fit in New Orleans. The property is graceful and stylish like a vintage Jaguar, with tasteful modern touches. We found the home well appointed. Everything we needed was there. While we brought food, wine and liquor, there was plenty on property. The beds were comfortable, the sheets soft and the towels warm. The midtown neighborhood was fantastic. You could walk to City Park and a bunch of great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. I felt a part of New Orleans in a way I never did when staying in the French Quarter or the CBD. Everyone who stayed on the property left happy. They all wanted the contact information for the owner so they could rent the property in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our celebration so special.

Summary: We renewed our vowels in New Orleans on Bourbon and this stunning home offered us the perfect accommodations for our families to stay together and still have an escape if they needed alone time. Main house had 5 bedrooms: a fun bedroom for our boys, spacious bedrooms for ourselves, my brother & his kids and my sitter. On property was a perfect guest house with three bedrooms for my in-laws and other family members that allowed us to share the same pool (most relaxing pool) and then have a place to retreat. And the last home on property was a one bedroom that was perfect for my parents to stay since my dad has bad knees and couldn’t climb the stairs in the main house. The decor was was gorgeous, spacious kitchen, fun front porch to sit and relax. Quick Uber ride into the French Quarter. I would recommend this property for families, couples or groups. The owner was super sweet, informative and helpful with everything!!! We LOVED this home and will be back!

Summary: This experience and stay could not have been more wonderful. Not only is Nicelle generous, kind, and a lovely host, but her home is breathtaking as well. It is absolutely spotless and has the perfect amount of New Orleans charm! The location is perfect and fit our needs for a 9 person bachelorette party perfectly. Nicelle was gracious enough to connect us with her recommended private chef and masseuse as well, neither of which could have possibly been more amazing than they were. I would recommend this house again and again to anyone looking for a place to stay in New Orleans.

Summary: Highly recommend this gorgeous New Orleans cottage! Beautifully designed and furnished, it is close enough to everything we wanted to see in the city, but far enough from the French Quarter to not be inundated with noise and tourists. It's a peaceful refuge in the middle of Nola with a great garden and pool in a safe neighborhood with walking distance to great restaurants, City Park with its museum and the Fairgrounds. It's a bonus that the gracious owner lives next door to answer questions and always help out with last minute requests. We came with the kids this time and use of the pool was a godsend. So was the fully stocked bar! And we'll definitely be back with a group of grown-ups next time. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
