Cozy cabin 15 feet from water's edge on the Cartecay River has wide screened-in deck, massive wood-burning rock fireplace and all wood floors. 2 Bedroom, 1 full bath log home sleeps 4 in 1 queen and 2 twin beds. Cable TV, wireless internet, central heat & air bring modern amenities to a place that harkens back to a by-gone era, waiting for you by the river.
Prepare your favorite vacation meals in our fully equipped kitchen or grill up your specialties to serve al fresco on the deck or at the kitchen table. Relax on the deck and watch the river run over rocks just beyond the screen door. Recline in the master bedroom to the sound and view of the gently shoaling water. Wade on in to cool off in summer. Cast a line from the bank, just outside the deck. Relax by the fireplace and hear the crackle of wood logs in winter. Head out to the fire ring to roast hotdogs or toast marshmallows.

Summary: The cabin was right on the river. It was so relaxing to sit on screened in porch and listen to the river. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Would highly recommend.

Summary: This is an excellent fishing cabin. The cabin furnishings are a little outdated and the cabin has a slight musty smell. If you like to watch TV in bed at night, then this cabin may not be for you. The back porch overlooking the river is relaxing. Excellent location, excellent fishing. Lacking comfort. Also, the cabin is full of warnings of “what not to do” and threats of losing the deposit that sets a “tone” that does not convey hospitality. I feel there are ways to provide that information to your guests and still remain hospitable. We love the Cartecay River but we probably would not choose this property again due to the lack of comfortable furnishings and the tone set by the owner with the warnings,

Summary: Stayed for 2 nights with my sister. Spent hours sitting by the river. Nice screened in porch. Everything you need for a comfy visit. Close to hiking. Quiet and peaceful. Not fancy but who cares. River sounds are so lovely. Owner kind and responsive.

Summary: The overall stay was good. We had some trouble getting the tv to come on and property owner didn’t relply back when we called. The power was lost the last day so before that happened the stay was good I’d still recommend the property
