Positive: The host was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, and some of it was even homemade. Each morning the host asked how my previous day was and what I planned to do that day. Montegiorgo is charming, and the surrounding landscape is gorgeous. I bought a hat at the weekly market. :-)

Negative: The room could use a desk, and the bed was harder than what is comfortable for me. The shower was small and cramped, which seemed odd because the bathroom is certainly big enough for a larger shower. Although there was air conditioning, for some reason the room was stuffy. Breakfast was entirely sweet, and I would have liked some savoury items as well. The stairwell could use a handrail. There was not always room for me to park in the area outside the building.

Summary: Welcoming, friendly host, ample breakfast. Small shower, stuffy air.
