Positive: The rooms were big cool and a decent shower and great air conditioning. The location was perfect for us.
Negative: There was quite a bit of noise from the room upstairs moving furniture and young kids from next door but not the hotel’s fault.
Summary: Great position and very accommodating hotel.

Positive: Position to local shops, bars and beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Good balcony as we had the corner room which had views front and side.
Negative: Breakfast room was too small as they were refurbishing the main dining area. People queueing to get a table, one toaster which was not working properly, one machine for orange etc.
Summary: Good location, nice rooms and friendly staff.

Positive: Nice modern high-rise in the middle of Almuñecar, about a 3-5 min walk to the beach. Rooftop pool has great views. Breakfast at the cafe downstairs was good and cheap, with very large toasts and decent coffee. Rooms were basic but very clean. Air Conditioning was functional (lots of hotels shut AC's off in the off season). There was a spa and sauna area but I didn't get to use it (have to reserve and the timing didn't work out for me). Overall a good place to stay.
Negative: Parking was a bit on the expensive side, but that's Europe for you. That said, the parking lot was convenient (right below the hotel) and decent to navigate, not tight like so many other ones).

Positive: Food was variable in quality but always a good variety. There is an additional charge to use the spa, which in other hotels we've stayed in has been included for residents (not treatments).

Positive: The hotel is lovely, pretty close to the beach, and the town is gorgeous. The atmosphere around us was always very pleasant. and it was absolutely agreeable to walk, after dinner, close to the beach.
Negative: We paid for full board, but twice, for lunch, they requested us to use one of their restaurants, but, instead of a small buffet, we had to eat what we could choose from 3 options ... We usually use the hotel wine, and we always pay at check-out. This time, they gave us a receipt for the 1st bottle we ordered, but, two days later, after requesting the 2nd bottle, and finishing the meal, as we were leaving the dining room, the girl shout to me that we hadn't paid the wine ... that was very unpleasant, so much so that, supposedly, we would pay, whatever we had ordered, at the check out. Anyway, we had to pay, right then. Again, never happened before. And finally, the hotel was having a lot of groups, remaining free 4 or 5 tables, among all the other that were reserved for the groups, which was not nice, and made us go at the opening of the dining room, to guarantee that we could have our meal at the usual time.
Summary: Nice with some drawbacks.
