Summary: A great week in a family oriented villa. Well equipped. Pool is too small for an adult to swim more than a couple of strokes but a good size for young children and for the whole family to cool off. It would be nice to have some information about the local area, such as good places to eat out etc. Previous reviews have mentioned the steep approach to the property but the owner supplies excellent suggestions and details on the best way to negotiate the bends and to enter the property. Well worth the effoirt for the spectacular views and all the facilities and entertainment options included. The owner was very helpful at all times and even provided some fresh fruit from the garden. We really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: This place was just what we needed to escape the cold Canadian winter for a month. Communication was swift and easy with Estibalez who spoke English. We communicated with her father through Google translate when we had questions. The house was charming and quaint with lots of Spanish charm. We only used one of the four bedrooms and thought the bedding and towels could be updated and refreshed. We really appreciated individual room heating especially at night for the few couple of weeks as the temperature dropped when the sun went down. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking needs. By the middle of our trip we were taking our meals outdoors to the patio to take in the marvellous views of the sea which was one of the reasons we chose this place. However, the trip up the winding road to get to those views was a little nerve wracking especially when meeting an oncoming car with no place to pass or pull over. You will need a rental car to enjoy this place, just make sure it is a smaller vehicle. You will need it to get into Almunecar for groceries and for day trips to the beaches around. It is well located for day trips to Granada, Nerja, the Caminito del Rey, Ronda and Frigiliana. All in all, this place was most enjoyable and the weather was was perfect for mid February to mid March.

Summary: We were a family of six and stayed here in July 2022 and I would consider staying at the property again. Great property 10-15 minutes’ drive to Almunecar (centre, supermarkets, beaches, and waterpark) with everything we needed and great views (take some binoculars). Excellent facilities including kitchen, bathrooms, washing areas (lots of hanging space near the kitchen and also further out into the garden), pool is a good size and bigger than what it looks in the pictures, and also lots of shaded areas to relax and eat. The outside games were a bonus (pool and table football), they were a great distraction if you needed to get out of the sun during the day – we also had a competition going on throughout the holiday. Great communication with friendly father and daughter - this was a trip planned that we had to delay due to the pandemic. We had a couple of problems during our stay and the Juan came the same day and sorted it out. If you are the driver you will have to get used to the road up to the villa, although after a couple of runs it starts to get a lot easier. It's up hill with a few sharp turns, but you get used to it. We had an 8-seater people-carrier so I imagine it would be much easier in a normal car. The only minor point is that we couldn’t walk to places as we had an older parent with us. It is possible to walk to places although you have to walk across some main roads at the bottom of the hill. We would have done this normally. There are no close shops/restaurants to nip to, so you will need a car to eat out or maybe a car plus a moped to nip to the shops. However, if you want to do a big shop and be locked away from people then this is an ideal place for you – it’s close to Almunecar but isolated, we only saw the owner and one neighbour and there is no through traffic. Overall great stay and would consider going again and would highly recommend.

Summary: We had a really enjoyable stay for a month in this house during February and March this year. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There were plenty of games including table football, a pool table and even an electronic dart board, and of course the swimming pool. So an ideal house for a family with older children to amuse. The patio area has wonderful views and is lovely for sunbathing but also has plenty of shaded areas for when you need them. Almuñecar is a lovely area to explore with a fantastic climate which makes it ideal for a Winter get away. The road up to the property can be a bit daunting at first but if you follow the owners instructions it soon becomes second nature. We were very sad to leave.

Summary: It had it all from a swimming pool, pool table, table football, 2 outside dining areas, 1 inside, good sized bedrooms and other things for young children e.g. strollers, beach and pool stuff - arm bands, floats, chairs. Parking for 2 cars and great hosts.

Summary: This villa exceeded our expectations. It is exceptionally well equipped, very spacious, and in a great location. The road up to the villa is not for the faint hearted driver, but you get used to it after the first couple of times! It is worth it for the views across the bay - and it is very quiet and secluded. Communication with Estibalez before our stay was excellent, and although we had no problems we felt confident that help was immediately on hand.
