Summary: The room had a musty smell to it and having been redone not a long time ago I expected it to be in better shape. The hotel was being used by temporary workers in the area and at 6 AM you could hear the trucks backing up with the beep-beep-beep. Also for some reason some people were outside the rooms talking for quite a while. As the title stated, I expected more for the amount of $ I was charged.

Summary: Loved my stay at Basecamp in Tahoe City! The front desk was very helpful and friendly and I loved being able to hangout with a beer a meet some of the other guests staying there. Perfect for people who are into recreation and looking for a community while they are staying in Tahoe.

Summary: We had a great time at Basecamp! We love the adventure motel vibe, there is a warm & welcoming common area with a fire & coffee, tea & hot chocolate. Great location, very walkable to the restaurants, shops & cafe in Tahoe City. There's a little slice of Lake Tahoe from the parking lot (the weather was storming so not sure about the view from the top deck). Beds were comfy & rooms were cozy, it's a refurbished motel that's cozy and cute decor. We love these types of adventure motels with common areas so we'll be back!

Summary: Excellent spot In Tahoe City (15 minutes to Alpine Meadows) with unique atmosphere and solid attention to detail in terms of presentation. Comfortable beds in a cozy room. Really nice lounge/reception area and 3 different fire pits on charming patios. Super nice and helpful staff (shout out to Casey)! Couldn’t have expected much more. Very cool vibe.
