Peacefully nestled on the banks of the Vermilion River, Bayou Rose awaits your visit to the beautiful historical district of Abbeville. Our private adult only cottage is located in the heart of Cajun Country with our many festivals and seafood restaurants. A tranquil,serene atmosphere where one can watch the ducks and barges as they make their way down the river.Listening to the comforting sounds of birds singing or the church bells ringing from up river as you sip your morning coffee on the porch or private wharf overlooking the river.
Full amenities include aromatherapy soaps, a complimentary basket with a variety of continental breakfast items for duration of your stay, coffee, milk, juice and water is also complimentary. And let's not forget a complimentary serving of Cajun BOUDIN! Cook up your own Cajun breakfast in your fully stocked kitchen with access to a BBQ grill overlooking the Vermilion River.
Our one bedroom private cottage has a queen size bed in bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in living room. Full size tub and shower complete with washer and dryer. Detergent is complimentary. Living room and kitchen area has floor to ceiling views of the Vermilion River. Central air and heat, ceiling fans throughout makes our cottage comfortable year round.
We are 15 minutes from Lafayette, 90 minutes from Baton Rouge, 2 1/2 hours from New Orleans making day trips easy. Come and enjoy the many fine restaurants in our quaint little town and the many festivals that are never ending.
Arrive by vehicle, plane or boat. Good times on the bayou await you at Bayou Rose. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Summary: Anne and Mike made us feel like we were staying with family during our stay at the cabin for a family wedding. They had breakfast items and a warm welcome for us The cabin was spotless, and the view of the bayou from the porch and dock were spectacular and oh so peaceful. Our highest recommendation!

Summary: Anne, our host was so easy to talk to and made our stay very welcoming with mini pecan pies, cinnamon bread and a personal welcome note! I stayed one night with the bride to be and then the newly married couple enjoyed the rest of the weekend. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed plus so many unexpected extras. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed our time on the back porch and deck. The cottage is filled with local art, but very tastefully done giving the cottage so much character. I highly recommend giving this little hideaway a chance, there is so much more than the pictures online. RELAXING Bayou Rose is what I've decided to call it

Summary: We loved our stay here. It was incredibly cozy and has such a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a homey and relaxing place to stay in the area.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay and Anne and Mike were so responsive and kind. The house was clean and well stocked, the owners make it to where you don’t need to bring anything! Very relaxing spot to get away to. Highly recommend!!

Summary: After a business trade show was cancelled in FL due to Hurricane Helene, we took the opportunity to visit friends in Louisiana. We were recommended this cottage and our friends were right - it was perfect. The hostess and host were perfect, the town of Abbeville charming, and sitting by the river in perfect weather absolutely what we needed. We proceeded to eat our way through southern LA - Dupuys - everything, Suires (try the etouffe and the pecan pie), French Press in Lafayette - try the french toast - not to mention the delicious treats left by Anne. Oh don't forget to take some boudin and green onion sausage home with you from one of the many meat/sausage places.

Summary: The cottage is just precious and perfect for a get away from everyday life! The highlight for us was the porch which faces the Vermilion River, the perfect place to sit peacefully and enjoy the local wildlife. We also really enjoyed meeting the owners!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bayou Rose! Anne is an exceptional hostess with so much attention to detail and extra special touches that make you feel so welcomed. The cottage is very peaceful and serene that sits on a beautiful property overlooking the Vermillion River. The cottage was very clean, and Anne provided numerous complimentary items to make the stay so easy. The boudin and pork rinds were a big hit! There are several local restaurants nearby, we highly recommend Dupuy's, that offer the true Cajun fare. Can't wait to make a return trip and visit with Anne again!

Summary: This is our fourth trip to this fabulous cottage. The hosts are great about giving ideas of what to do and great places to dine. But, just sitting on the back porch gazing at the bayou is super relaxing and gives a person a chance to chill and rewind.

Summary: Beautifully decorated cottag with a local cajun flair. Anne the hostess was very friendly and responsive. It was our second visit there and if we return to the area we will stay there again.

Summary: Wonderful time we had exploring the sites that the Rose B&B owners suggested we see in their neck of the Bayou . The restaurants and discovery areas of local history were outstanding. Enjoyed the host’s hospitality immensely.
