Summary: Our stay at this quirky and spacious beach property was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had picked the perfect spot for a short family getaway. The home’s unique, vibrant decor gave it such a fun and playful atmosphere, instantly setting the tone for a great time. Every room had something special, from funky art on the walls to a cozy reading library, making it feel like a true escape with room for everyone. The amenities were top-notch! The kitchen was fully stocked, making family meals a breeze, and the beach gear provided (chairs and towels) meant we didn’t have to worry about packing extra things. We loved the outdoor area — the kids played pickleball (equipment provided) and then hopped in the pool while we grilled and enjoyed the outdoor area. The beach was just a few steps away, and the location made it easy to unplug and explore the beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to unwind and enjoy time together. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind beach getaway with all the comforts of home and then some, this is the place! We’ll definitely be coming back!

Summary: This property had a ton of rustic charm and offers a lot of space. The upstairs is listed as two bedrooms, but it is actually a large open space separated by a bathroom. It works well for a family with children if needing to hear all that is taking place 😂. Other bedrooms are very small, but cute. There is a wrap around porch that is lovely too! We enjoyed how close the house was to the water on both sides. The sound side has an amazing dock to fish from. I do not recommend it for those not sure footed, as it extends far out to the water without railing. Our greatest hiccup for the weak was the air condition. It did not function our last two full days and it was HOT! Owner was on her way to install new ones. Closest shopping is about 15 min away at Dollar General.

Summary: Our family loves the charm of Old Salt, and will definitely be back. The pricing for a six bedroom ocean front home can’t be beat. Still, we have a few wishes (which don’t affect the rating) 1, The dining room chairs and deck chairs are extremely uncomfortable. 2. We would love for the a tall toilet to be installed. Older people like me have knee issues which are aggravated by low toilets. 3. The upstairs AC just didn’t perform well. In fairness, our host responded immediately to our concerns, but a better unit would be great. That’s it. We love Old Salt and look forward to our next stay three. Joe P

Summary: What a wonderful week spent playing on the beach with my adult children and grandchildren. The home is spacious and the kitchen has all items to prepare meals. The 2 beds listed as queen size are definitely full size and difficult for 2 adults to sleep comfortably. Additionally, the home was hard to keep cool enough even at night. Wonderful location on the beach with few other people which made it seem like we had the entire beach to ourselves.

Summary: This house was exactly what we needed for a family of 6 adults and 4 kids. Robin was very responsive when needed and the entire check in/out process was easy. The pool is a plus with this house for sure 😊 we were very sad to leave but would love to return!

Summary: I want to start off by saying that the initial vibe in the house is a quirky homey feeling. I liked the old wood vibes and I loved the opened the kitchen. I would say this house is a 5 bedroom not 6. The upstairs master is open with an additional twin room on the other side. It is open with no doors. If you have a family, this is an ideal room. Two couples however would not want to stay upstairs. Also, after one shower, it’s so hot you can’t stay in the bathroom. The vent also doesn’t work. And to you have to keep the door close to help the ac upstairs. The main issue was the AC. The upstairs units did not work for the first night. This made the rooms unusable. 80 degrees is not a comfortable sleeping temp. The main unit took 16 hours to get from 78 to 72. Overall big ac issues. Our baby monitors in two rooms read 74 to 76 every night. The property is outdated. The appliances need updating. The fridge door has broken shelves all down it which makes them unusable. The outside area in front of the house is kind of a mess. The yard needed more maintaining. The grilling situation is kind of difficult. It’s pretty far away and a lot of steps between the kitchen and grill. Not really usable space under the house. The pool is small but honestly was great for our small children. That was a nice bonus. The best part…the beach. It’s quiet and beautiful with white sand. If asked if I would book this house again, the answer would be not during the hot part of the year.

Summary: It’s rustic but in a perfect way. Well maintained and charming. Comfortable and clean. Steps away from the beach just out the back door. Pickleball was fun! Alligator point is an “old Florida” community and Old Salt is the perfect house for it.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Old Salt. The house was spacious, with four bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs, three bathrooms, two sitting areas, dining room, bar, and well-equipped kitchen. The master bedroom was huge, and the upstairs bedrooms were furnished with beautiful antiques. The house was clean, the furniture comfortable (especially the beds). We appreciated the sturdy, well-maintained deck which extended all around the house. The numerous song birds and white squirrels were a real treat. The beach was great and almost deserted. The pool was clean and refreshing. We (five women) joked about waiting for the pool boy, and imagine our surprise when he really did show up to clean the pool! We would not hesitate to choose Old Salt again the next time we vacation in Alligator Point.

Summary: 4 generations enjoyed a comfortable stay in Robin’s beach vacation home. It is wonderfully equipped with almost everything you could possible need or want. The public spaces are comfortable and well appointed..and there are plenty of them. Public spaces. She’s thought of so much to make our stay, and yours easy… All you’ll need is groceries (bring plenty because stores are 45 minutes away, but you won’t want to leave the property anyway!), flip-flops, a bathing suit, sun screen, and leave your cares back at home. 2 grills, a tennis/pickle ball court, racquets for both, fishing poles and enjoy the sunrises, sunsets, and the sound of the ocean right in front of your house. The kitchen/diningroom being all open is a dream with lots of counter space and two stoves! It isn’t fancy .. rather it is quirky and fun and oh, so comfortable. We loved being there for 2 months and feel so fortunate to have found this place. Thank you for a wonderful, healing time with family and friends.
